Everything about our stay at Brooklands was perfect. We initially booked rooms for my husband and myself and our adult son. On the day prior to our arrival I rang to let our hosts know that our 3 year old grandson would also be accompanying us. We had booked a double and a twin room and this was not a... More

Stayed one night whilst on hiking weekend. Friendly welcome, big room, very comfortable, good selection of toileteries in the bathroom also a sewing kit and spare toothbrush/toothpaste. Add in fresh fruit and very good tea and coffee making facilities, like a home from home! The breakfast completed an excellent stay. Well cooked full English, a variety of fresh fruit, cereals,... Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Penrith. From our initial welcome to our departure, everything was spot on. The bedrooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and peaceful. Treats in the rooms included fruit, bottled water and little chocolates. Fresh milk was also available. Breakfast was scrummy - plenty of choice including vegetarian options. Being in the centre of town made it... More

This was a great place to end our Lady Anne's Way walk. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Lots of options for tea coffee including herbal tea and a bowl of fruit. Fabulous bathroom with lovely toiletries. Brilliant sumptuous breakfast and options for vegetarians.

My hubby and I escaped for a couple of days to relax in one of our favourite places in the world! We have visited this guest house for about 15 years. This is purely down to the quality of the rooms, the food and Leon and Debbie who own it. What an amazing place, check out their website for pictures... More

Attention to detail is the key here, with every effort to ensure a stress free stay. From repair kit and spare toothbrushes to great pod coffee machine, fresh fruit (really fresh, not just a token effort that's sat there for weeks) to comfy bed and well functioning shower. The breakfast is amazing. Extremely good selection of fresh fruits and nuts... More

Amazing place. There's nothing average, no corners cut. Everything from the biscuits to the shower, to the breakfast, to the beds, to the decor is top quality. There's fresh fruit in the room, a fridge with water and milk and even a corkscrew provided. Can't fault it.
