Travelodges can be much of a muchness and although this was an older hotel we had so much more space in the room and the bathroom. Onsite parking too-not to be ignored. Lovely staff, great night. No restaurant unfortunately but some nearby.

This Travelodge is near a busy road, so there is some noise - but hey, most Travelodges are situated like this... it is one of the reasons for their existence. This one is most convenient for Keswick and the North Lakes, and if you park in Stainton -a nearby village -in the morning you will be able to use your... More

tidy hotel; within easy reach of Penrith and the Lakes; allowed us to travel back from Isle of Skye to Bristol with a break in the middle. Hot food nearby is a bonus; close to motorway services for refuelling. Other than the main road traffic noise quiet

Penrith---flies disturbed my sleep +++ Fenstanton---No towels in room & bath was very sllppy. In Penrith staff member went to deal with flies when brought to his attention. In Fenstanton staff member seemed bemused when sloppy bath mentioned.

Had a family room middle of August, stayed Mon-Fri and used as a base for visiting various parts of the Lake District Fantastic location, everything we had planned was generally within half hour drive, and handily placed for driving into Penrith town on an evening to find somewhere for dinner Hotel itself was great, room cleaned and fresh towels every... We have stayed about 6 times at this travelodge and have always commented on how Good the staff are they are very welcoming smile and are genuinely interested in customers needs... The rooms are usually spotless though noticed a few bits of cereal under the single bed and a small what looked like a blood stain on the colourful bed... More

This is the most tired travelodge I've stayed in. The shower head was so high up the wall, I couldn't reach it to change its direction. The towel rail was coming off the wall and all of the sockets had been put on wonky. The table had sharp corners, so not ideal for small children. No hot chocolate available and... More

Stayed here whilst touring the Lake District. Not a bad place for a night, two at most. Not much within walking distance except the Little Chef and Burger King. The room I had smelt a bit damp, mostly coming from the bathroom and shower area. The bed was large and cumfy, the room was clean and had everything I required... More

this place is very convenient for the North Lakes, and a great deal cheaper than, for instance, a Keswick price at this time of year (August). usual standard of a Travelodge - this one has a Little Chef and a Burger King adjacent too. Parking, no problem. A bit noisy from the by-pass and you can also hear the trains.But... More

We wasn't too impressed with a Travelodge in Skipton last year, perhaps they where having a bad day but the room wasn't cleaned properly and smelled a bit. However, Penrith Travelodge is superb. Clean, nice staff and comfortable room. Our 6yr old loved it as much as we did and it was handy having a Little Chef right next door... More
