I've been visiting this site for years and I've always found it to be the perfect base for visiting Keswick and the surrounding areas. Its great for couples or groups and with plenty of space you can easily set up in a corner on your own. The shower block is a little dated but its always clean and tidy. The...

I have spent many week breaks at dalebottom farm with my parents and our dogs! We normally stay in one of their cottages but have also stayed in one of their static caravan's too! Great place to base yourself if wanting to see the vistor attractions of Keswick, windermere and my favourite the haverswaite steam train! But also for all the...

I have used this site for over 15 years, both with school groups and with friends during climbing trips. It is a generally quiet, unpretentious and reasonably well equipped farm site blessed with stunning views, friendly hosts and within easy reach of Keswick by car or even on foot! The essentials are all there; clean toilet blocks, hot showers, wash...

This site is just outside of Keswick and a great little site it is. We had a 4 night stay here and have to say we loved it. There is a mixture of static caravans tourers and tents. The views around the site are breath taking, with blencathra, skiddaw to name but two mountains in view. If you go out...

We stayed here as we wanted a tent pitch with electric, at last minute, and dalebottom farm said there was plenty of space and quoted a much cheaper price than other sites in the area. Dalebottom is located in a lovely valley, it was very windy the day we arrived but we were very sheltered and hardly felt a breeze....

I stayed at Dale Bottom campsite for one night on a hot day in July 2014. The owner was friendly and helpful after I arrived slightly dehydrated after two days hiking. I camped in the bottom field which had lovely views of High Rigg fell. I like the informal sites best as they are usually a bit cheaper and suit...

Lovely site just out of Keswick, owner was very friendly, did not mind our late arrival. Little shop on site with some essentials and fresh eggs. Toilets a little basic but clean and working. Would stay here again.

The campsite is average at best, the owner had a attitude problem and very little manners. When arriving on the site, the owner was very abrupt. There are better campsites in the area. Avoid this site.

The views from the sight are lovely the people that had the site were lovely but I hated the sluice they had ,it was basically a hole in the ground , no tap to rinse your cassette out.... There was a tap next to the toilets so I used that but to get to it you had to walk up...

Convenient for Derwent, Bassenthwaite and Thirlmere lakes which is important to us for kayaking. Great walks to be had from the campsite. Lots of hot water in the ladies block and plenty of cushion soft loo roll! There's a little shop on site which the farmer mans when needed. Not sure how well stocked it was but my children bought...
