Hi Theresa. Thank you for your question and enquiry. The straight answer is yes we are for sale and we would like to take this opportunity to reassure anyone who may have any concerns about this. Nothing has changed here, we love what we do and the same service is still on offer, my freshly baked cakes still await you on your return and our breakfasts still as popular as ever. Iain is 65 this year so with this in mind we do have to look at getting him some fluffy slippers and allowing him to put his feet up. Im sure he will prefer some new boots and more time on the fells.
Seriously, Guest Houses can be difficult to sell and on average it take 2 years to sell a property (some properties are still for sale that we looked at 5 years ago). We don't expect to be going anywhere soon and there is no-one interested so far. We were very fortunate when we bought Seven Oaks the previous owners were a great help to us and we will certainly offer any assistance where can to new owners to help them, if and when we sell. It is in our own best interest to run Seven Oaks as best we can to put us in the best position to sell so we will continue to improve what we do. I hope this answers your question.
