No food unless booked in advance. If you go out you must leave your key in reception where anyone can get it. No phone signal. Expensive for what you get. Total waste of money! Dont stay here! Had to leave one star as i could'nt give less. Seriously, don't stay here!

This hotel is dated more like a guesthouse. The room was disappointing rather dowdy bathroom needs updating and everywhere rather dusty. There was a lake view which we had asked for but only one person could get in the window space. Proprietor was very obliging as we could not work shower (switch was on the ceiling with no cord) and...

Three of us stayed in a cottage on the grounds for a wee. we arrived wired up by the stresses of life , but left feeling sad that we had to leave. overall a nice secluded gentle place. The people were polite and left us to ourselves. the cottage was very comfy with good beds. Nice grounds and nice views....

The view of the lake was very good and the grounds are charming. The room facilities were below average. The TV was poor with no sky and not worth using, and the shower was hit and miss. The door to our room wouldn't open which was annoying, and we kept having to be let in. The kettle also gave up...

We were fortunate to find a room at Dale Head Hall after being disappointed by several hotels which had high scores on Trip Advisor. This amazing property offers comfortable and well appointed accommodation. The house iS set in a quiet location away from the road and beside the lake with fabulous views. The property is very old but well maintained...

Dale Head Hall has a beautiful view from the front lawn of the lake. The room was large though older and beds uncomfortable. The roll-away bed was child size and covered in plastic which made sleeping difficult for our adult aged daughter. The hotel entry has a dank smell though the room smelled fine.

Nice stay with beautiful view on the lake as from the room. Friendly people. Breakfast is typically English...fruit, muesli and yoghurt to serve yourself, the rest is to choose from a list. They bring it to you. One -: I have asked a glass of water and this had the color of yellow.. Right over out of the lake? :-(...

A large family group were travelling to a bunkhouse in the lakes to celebrate my husband's 60th over the weekend of 5th August. I thought he might enjoy a bit of luxury prior to living in a dormitory and booked a four poster room in what had been described as a 'luxury hotel' with 'fine dining' at Dale Head Hall...

Me and my partner came here for a one night stay and were really looking forward to the stay. When we arrived at first we were not disapointed with the stunning grounds and view but in reality that is as good as it got. We went through to the reception area were we greated by he Owner after the usual...
