This was my fourth visit to The Cartwheel since 2007 and my stay was fantastic as usual. Tina and Bernie are lovely hosts and gave me a warm welcome and a hug from Tina as I left. Keswick is a beautiful town to visit and I would always recommend a stay at The Cartwheel to anyone visiting this lovely part... More

Bernie and Tina are the loveliest hosts. They immediately made us feel welcome. We were surprised to see amenities we would never have expected at these prices. We went to Keswick without a car and wanted a B&B that would be easy walking from the town centre. The Cartwheel was perfect in that as well. Our room was quiet and... More

Stayed there 1 night in April during the Easter holidays. Spotlessly clean, friendly proprietors, delicious breakfasts. Very good location, only a few minutes walk from the centre. I had been concerned about the parking situation, but we found a space straight away. Keswick itself is lovely. Go to the Puzzling Place, it's really good fun. Only downsides were the very... More

Hi There Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review, we always appreciate our guest's feedback on their stay with us. We are sorry that you were dissapointed not to have some cake on the night you stayed. We do try to put some out everyday, but as they are baked fresh it's not always possible... More

What I liked best about The Cartwheel was Tina and Bernie. They are very warm and welcoming. They are also a fountain of knowledge about the area. No matter where you plan to go, they won't hesitate to help you find your way. They will let you borrow guidebooks with very detailed route descriptions, and they even printed off a... More

If you like fell walking, and you like oodles of cake, this is definitely the b&b for you. :) I could not have enjoyed my trip more, and can't think of a single b&b I have ever stayed in where the rooms have been so well equipped, the breakfast so nice and the hospitality as warm. The packed lunches were... More

Just returned from a fantastic stay in Keswick. The Cartwheel was clean, friendly and very well located. The little extras such as hairdryer, cotton buds and bottle opener were most welcome and the breakfast was brilliant. In particular the homebaked cakes in the afternoon helped to restore energy levels after a day out on the fells. Will definately stay here... More

This was our second visit to The Cartwheel and it was just as enoyable as the first. Tina and Bernie are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel really welcome and their knowledge of Keswick is spot on. The breakfast was hearty and sets you up for a day out walking. The bedroom we stayed... More
