Most tourists, and there is a whole LOT of them, literally floods Windermere and Ambleside. Littletown Farm in the Newlands is a perfect base for exploring and enjoying the great outdoors of the Lake District. For a first hike up a fell, nothing beat the Catbells right at the back of Littletown. Easy and absolutely stunning views of both the... More

My father, husband and myself spent this weekend at Littletown Farm. We have been before and loved it then too. Rob and Sarah were friendly and welcoming hosts, as soon as we arrived we were offered Tea, coffee and millionaires shortbread in the beautifully decorated, snug living room, beside a cheerful log burning stove. The whole house is spotlessly clean,... More

We called for an extremely welcome snack before tackling the ascent of Catbells fell. Tables were provided inside and out to take full advantage of the weather. We chose a table inside and found the atmosphere very warm and welcoming. Boots could be left on and a good selection of sandwiches, home made cakes and snacks were available.

Just the loveliest Bed and Breakfast. Well worth giving this excellent location a few days. Lets start with the fantastic breakfast. Great menu with grand locally sourced produce. Alright maybe some came from Rob's (Scottish) local but all was just a delight. Please do also enjoy Sarah's afternoon (or morning teas), I certainly know the scones, jam and clotted cream... More

We stayed at Littletown last weekend, and have to say we have never been anywhere better. The setting is in a beautiful valley at the foot of Catbells and only a few minutes from Keswick, the scenery is outstanding. The hosts are very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable, with a nice hot shower in the ensuite. We... More

Rob and Sarah, with their family, run a superb bnb in the Newlands Valley. Based in their farm house and accommodating up to 17 people. The rooms are recently refreshed, clean and with all the facilities one could require. The full English breakfast is one of the best we have ever had. It is a perfect base from which to... More

Dinner at Little Town Farm is always a treat and Saturday's delicious rib-eye steak was no exception. I love the dining room with mismatched oak tables , soft sage paintwork mismatched oak tables and chairs and piles of cookery books. Rob is a great host, food fantastic and views superb. I am running out of superlatives but you get the... More

The guesthouse was comfortable, clean, with very friendly hosts. The guesthouse is old, but rooms have been fitted with modern furnishings and is very comfortable. Views of the valley are very scenic. The property is out of Kewick and you need to drive on some very narrow roads to get there. Directions from the Internet were easy to follow. Tea... More
