We have regularly stayed weekends in Keswick over a number of years usually at the George but we decided to try its sister Hotel, Highfield. With a birthday on the close horizon we decided to lash out and go for best, The Woodford Room. Disappointed, no we were not, it was a beautifully laid out, spacious suite with armchairs, widescreen... More

Yet another excellent stay at the Highfield. Service first class by dedicated staff. Food still to a high standard. Location is ideal for walks from the hotel into surrounding countryside or into the market square of Keswick.

We only stayed 1 night to visit Theatre on the Lake. Perfect location right next to the park. A lovely friendly B & B and we will definitely visit again. Comfortable clean room. Breakfast very good and next time we shall have dinner there too.....

Last stayed at this hotel about 20 years ago and wanted to return as we had fond memories. This time we stayed for 2 nights mid-week and were not disappointed. The evening meals were definitely a highlight with excellent food and attentive but not intrusive service. Best food we have had in a while and wished we could have stayed... More

We stayed for one night and were not disappointed. The room was very clean with great views across the park and Derwent water. The staff are very friendly with generous breakfast and a good choice. Constructive comment the French window out to balcony had large step and no warning and my wife nearly fell also a small child could fall... More

This hotel is set on the edge of Keswick less than five minutes stroll to the town centre. Dedicated parking round the back accessible from the rear west side up a track serving the entire row of hotels facing the lake. Breakfast very good served on red hot plates. Not what I would call real Cumberland sausage but tasty none... More

Return here every year, it's a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The views from the hotel are amazing both front and back. There is plenty of car parking available. The best part is the food, you really must eat here, it's fantastic!

We stayed in room 2 for two nights. Breathtaking view from our window over the fells. This older building is clean and fresh, with updated but not cold overly weird decor. Not cluttered but cozy. Wonderful staff to greet us when we checked in and also for breakfast and dinner service. The food is excellent. The setting of the hotel... More

This hotel is a short 10 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick with glorious views over the park opposite to the hills and Derwent Water. It, thus, combines the best of both worlds - near to the shops, pubs etc. of Keswick but in a quiet road with lovely views. It also has its own car park at the... More
