I have just stayed 5 nights at The Littlefield Guest House which was very enjoyable. Lance provided great hospitality and is able to give guidance and advice about walking ideas, places to visit and availability of public transport. Breakfast was comprehensive, with a choice of cereals and or a cooked option. The guest house is a brief walk to the... More

Excellent little guesthouse, Lance made us feel very welcome and he was always on hand to give us advice on where the best places where to visit. Room was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. Bed was very comfortable, and the full English breakfast was delicious. 10/10 would definitely go back.

Lance gave us a warm welcome and we felt at home straight away. The room was comfortable and a full English breakfast set us up for the day. Only a 5 minute walk to get to the very centre of Keswick or the Theatre by the Lake. Lance was always on hand for advice on places to go or eat.... More

My boyfriend has stayed here a couple of times and always been well looked after so when we signed up to the 10 in 10 challenge with friends last weekend, this was the first place he tried (and succeeded!) to get a reservation in. In common with most guest houses and self catering places around Littlefield, the parking is on... More

Had a great time at Littlefield. Super-friendly place and good location for town and hiking. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, good hearty breakfast. Added bonus right opposite a launderette so really useful for washing lake-wet and hiking stuff. Will stay here again for sure

I have already booked my return stay to this guesthouse because it made such a convenient, cosy and welcoming base for fell walking. Lance has completed the 214 Wainwright peaks in the Lake District and is an excellent source of information and inspiration. Full English breakfast, toast, cereals (with stewed and fresh fruits, yoghurt, juice) and plunger coffee was plentiful... More

Me and partner stayed midweek for a quiet break and it was just that, lovely peaceful guesthouse. Room was immaculate and very cosy. Comfy bed shower was great too. Breakfast was very nice. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Lance for a nice stay.

We had a really good time staying within this guesthouse. Lance was extremely kind to pass his extensive knowledge to us on which walks to do. Our dog and us will defiantly be coming back at some point. Thank you

Would highly recommend, we stayed in the Derwentwater room with our dog, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Lance was very helpful and gave us some useful tips about where to go walking and kindly lent us a book and map to take with us. Would definitely return in the future!
