My Wife and I have just stayed for 4 days, the quality of service and welcome we received from the staff was first class. Set in the middle of wonderful countryside and town services the new management are already making positive progress in improving standards since we last stayed over a year ago. Without doubt a friendly well run establishment... More

The rooms do need some updating and maintenance for sure but on the positive side the bed linen and towels were clean, the staff were fantastic and so helpful nothing was too much trouble, in particular Debbie who was in charge she is an absolute star to be treasured well done all of you 👍🏻 you made our Harley Davidson... So bad it was almost funny at times. Parked up in the car park and there was another Car in there with all its windows smashed in and we were forced to park next to it. On checking into the hotel we were initially taken to our room by one of the girls working in the place only to find... More

It was absolutely disgusting sleeping here I wouldn't do it again, and I wouldn't advise anyone to go to the b&b the rooms are mouldy, and in room 2 the over flow pipe is blocked you empty the sink and it comes up in the shower...I'm room 11&12 the carpet gets mouldy the cleaners just wipe the carpet so the... No bulb in bedside lamp, missing bulb from ceiling light, black mould in shower, tiles loose on shower entrance, paper thin cheap dividing walls. Manager abrupt to females but changed attitude once confronted by male, worse place I've had the misfortune to occupy

Stayed here with my partner on 13th March and we were delighted with the room. The hotel has recently been taken over by a great manager who was very polite. The staff were lovely and the lady behind the bar was very welcoming. They couldn't serve breakfast because their kitchen was being refurbished so they give us the equivalent in... More

We were stranded in Kendal during the December floods and could not get to Bowness to stay in a hotel I'd already booked due to the roads being closed and the Rainbow Tavern was the only place we could find that had rooms available. The bar itself was quite nice but our bedroom was terrible. Peeling wallpaper, damp and the... More

We bought a voucher off the bay vouchers which included dinner, 1 night stay and breakfast. We did buy it last minute and didn't require dinner but we were told we couldn't have breakfast either the next morning which was a bit annoying as it doesn't take long to make some bacon! Rooms are average and in my opinion this... More

Just back after 2 night away, great place staff are very helpful. The rooms are lovely and suitable with a en suite and tea\coffe in the room. The bar is central of the town and great real ale to choose from. Can't wait to go back.
