It's fairly new and has great potential. The pub has lots of books and crannies which I really like and fits in nicely with the local scenery. The landlord seems cheery and helpful. My only thing is the food is just ok when it has the potential to be great! That pub is probably going to be buzzing in the...

The Heversham, ex-Bluebell Hotel, has had a really faultless makeover with several atmospheric rooms that will appear, I'm sure, authentically aged very quickly, helped by some old fireplaces. The beer is VERY cheap compared to almost all pubs within 5 miles - rivalled only by the excellent Woodlands Hotel in Silverdale. Sam Smith's Stout is very tasty. The bar staff...

Beautiful refurb, but........ Was expecting restaurant service but it was pub menu and order at the bar. Asked for wine list but they have one white, one rose and one red to choose from. Bottle of white was ordered, no cooler provided. Food was ok but we won't be going again.

The layout of the room is beautiful can sit having a drinking looking out of the window. Very clean and really liked the style of the room. Breakfast...

The old Blue Bell, closed for a good while, was reborn last year as a Sam Smith's hotel and pub with its original name restored - The Heversham Hotel. Looks stunning from the outside but strangely refurbished inside with a small, basic bar and several rooms which are slightly mismatched in predominantly old-fashioned quasi Edwardian decor. On the plus side,...

Visited on a quiet Tuesday lunchtime, had read other reviews and decided to visit anyway despite them being mixed. Very large well maintained car park, outside refurbishment well done as was the inside job. We had a good lunch off the varied menu, not high class dining but very reasonable prices, good, well cooked food ! All,in all a good...

We had watched this place being rebuilt over the last 18 months and decided it was going to be the place for my birthday lunch in February 2017. On the day we went up to Kendal for a couple of hours retail therapy and decided to call on our way home as we had seen on the website that they...

Had a lovely fish n chip meal there, really nice, and very reasonably priced, good service, friendly staff, hotel is tastefully refurbished. Recommend. Rare to get a meal for under a tenner these days.
