What a wonderful place with top notch hospitality! Everything about Lakeland Hills exceeded my expectations and the hosts Tony and Caroline were genuinely warm and friendly and made you feel special. The accommodation was also superb with thoughtful touches with everything and more that you would ever want or need. Would highly recommend.

We were warmly welcomed by Tony and Caroline. Our room was very comfortable with welcome amenities, including tea and cake upon arrival. They provided transportation to a fine restaurant. The neighborhood was quiet. They are walkers themselves, and were very helpful with tips and stories as we looked forward to our last leg on the Dales Way. Thanks so much!

We used this B & B for our Dales Way stopover. Tony and his wife Caroline made us extremely welcome and we had some interesting conversation with them. Our room on the ground floor was lovely, extremely large and well equipped with views into the garden. The whole house was spotless and breakfast was delightful, try the American Pancakes and... I arrived tired and wet after a long walk on the Dales Way and was met by the lovely Tony who took away my wet and muddy boots and coat and handed me tea and cake. I met Caroline for a shorter time as she was working but both she and Tony were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Tony was really... More

Everything that everyone has said about Tony's is true. From the still warm cake and hot drinks when you arrive, to his very helpful instructions over the best waffles ever, the attention to detail is divine. I only wish I had arrived sooner to hear more stories from Tony, and to meet his wife, who was working that night. If you're... More

Right from the time we arrived Tony was an amazing host. Fantastic room with all the best amenities you would want and a lovely hot shower. It was wonderful that he took four of us down to a lovely pub for dinner and drinks and picked us up afterwards. The breakfast was superb in a lovely conservatory setting. The amazing... More

Real comfort on the Dales Way and lovely to be able to relax. Tony and Caroline were great hosts and had thought of everything. We were met with a very welcome cup of tea,and piece of cake, and later transported out for an evening meal. A wonderful breakfast choice. I would recommend planning your Dales Way walk to stay here.

I read reviews, they're informative re selection. I don't write them however. It's a selfish thing on my part, based on a desire not to patronise people or their achievements. However, on this, and one other occasion (in which I duplicate my "review"), I comment. Read all the positive reviews others have written. They aren't misplaced in the slightest, and... More

Nothing negative to report. As good as it gets - extremely good value. Warm welcome, good size room, excellent breakfast and importantly for a weary walker a wonderful shower. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
