We had a double en-suite room. Fluffy towels and quality bed linen. Toastie warm all the time even in November when it was very cold outside with snow on the hills. Lovely breakfast. High quality tasty food be that the "full english" or the continental breakfast there was more than enough to eat. A tea/coffee tray in the room with...

I visit Kendal regularly to visit family. Have tried other guest houses but for comfort and lots of little extras there is absolutely no reason to look elsewhere than Glenholme. The owner was very welcoming. The choice and quality of the breakfast was excellent and I can't rate it highly enough.

We were stuck in Kendal because of the floods and were so pleased to find this place. Lovely, welcoming owner and clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was delicious and really good value for money too !

Glenholme is exactly what you'd want a B&B in the lakes to be - cosy, friendly and central, with comfy beds (or at least, ours was). But it has 3 major things that set it apart: 1. Mrs Capstick, who was as warm as her rooms, couldn't do enough and was genuinely interested and interesting to talk to. 2. The...

Very nice B&B, well presented with great facilities. Nice hot shower (as very Kold in Kendal), very friendly, nice Buddha collection. Good parking and short walk into town centre. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended . We were returning home from Scotland delivering our daughter to University

Most certainly one of the comfiest beds We have ever...

Four of us stayed in this B&B during a one-night stopover during the Walney to Wear cycling trip. We were part of a larger group, the other 20+ stayed in the hostel in Kendal. We were certainly glad that we opted to 'upgrade' to more comfortable B&B accommodation. The B&B is very conveniently located, just a short (5 minute or...

I stayed at Glenholme for three nights last week. The proprietor is a treasure, nothing too much trouble. Every comfort given to guests. the breakfast was extensive and excellent quality, from the fruit salad to the smoked salmon. the cooked English breakfast was served hot and cooked just right. Everything was plentiful.

What a great place I found again! Above and beyond a guest house not 3 t bags but a multiple of tea choices, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, chocolates, and even a bar of Kendal mint cake,a mini fridge in the room with fresh milk. As for my bed well, if it had been at all possible I would have taken it home not...
