A great little B&B about one mile from the town centre. The owners are very nice and look after their guests well. I was in a single room which was quite small at the top of the hotel, facing the road. It was a bit noisy with the window open. The WIFI signal was nice and strong but it did... More

Arrived friday evening for a two day break. Sue welcomed us and showed us where to park the car . The room was an en suite double on the ground floor, it was absolutely spotless. The breakfast was lovely. I would definitely stay here again. Great hosts and a friendly atmosphere and excellent value for money.

We arrived Saturday evening and found Sue waiting for us. The place is cosy and typical but Sue and Andrew treat their guests well. They were very accomodating in changing our room for a better one after the first night Andrew gave us a few hints on where to go to see the best of Lake District and our only... More

Just off the centre of the town, rooms are comfy and Sue and Andrew were excellent hosts. Very good breakfast included in the cost which started the day off well. Only a 10 minute stroll to the town centre.

The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere. We were greeted by the male owner who explained how the hotel works and I was very impressed with the flexibility of the all-day breakfast. The owners were also particularly welcoming at breakfast time. I also slept very well. So, all in all we had a great time and would highly recommend this... More

The Sundial is very well located particularly when visiting the Lake District from the South. Comfortable, very clean and cosy. Relaxed atmosphere. Thanks for making our weekend very reasonably priced and enjoyable. Will definitely visit again.

We were greeted as we arrived at the Sundial Guest House and welcomed by Sue and shown to our room. The room was clean as well as well decorated and after a chat with our host we were left to IT. We found it to be a relaxing room on the ground floor where the only problem we found was... More

I stayed at the Sundial for one night. Although I had booked a single room with en suite I was upgraded to a double room on arrival as it was January and very quiet. I was greeted on arrival by Andrew who also served the lovely breakfast with wife Sue. The bed was so super comfy I would definitely return.

I had a great stay at the sundial guest house. I stayed two night so I could enjoy the lake district national park. The room was very clean and spacious. It was a very good value and the breakfast was delicious. My only complaint is that the Bathroom had terrible water pressure. I was on the top floor but it... More

Sue greeted me to the B&B and made me feel welcome. I was on a cycling trip and she was able to put my cycle in a secure garage, which was reassuring. The room was on the top floor and quite a haul but I was offered help with my bags. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom/shower... More
