The owner Sheila lovely lady, collected me from the Dales way and set me back there the following day! Amazing breakfast including fresh bread and croissant, awesome lemon curd! The room was fab and offer of a bath was well received! Chocolate covered Kendal mint cake and an early start made sure I reached the end and got my train... More

We stayed here Friday and Saturday 8th and 9th July. Sheila was a lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a double room. It was lovely and clean. The breakfast was very good. Before we left on Sunday she took us on a tour of the garden....I wont say anymore...find out for yourself. The house was... More

An excellent B&B with a warm welcome. Comfortable room and a delicious breakfast with home made bread and jams. We would highly recommend Bridge House as it is just seven miles from the M6 - a pleasant stopover on a long journey.

Thank you Sally. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet you both. I hope the Kendal Mint Cake helped with your journey home down the M6! Best wishes, Sheila More

3 of us stayed here while walking the Dales Way in May 2016. Diana picked us up from the route and was welcoming and helpful. Comfortable rooms and a delightful bath led to a good night's sleep. This was followed by what we agreed was our favourite breakfast on the walk (and they had all been good). There was a... More

Sheila picked up two very tired bodies from the A6 and would have returned us the next day. The house is immaculate! Our room was very welcoming and comfortable. Shiela was very informative of eateries in Kendal and we had a very good meal at Deja Vu. Breakfast was wonderful with a freshly baked loaf on the table. First class,... More

Always a friendly greeting, our third stay now, when you arrive. The room is very comfortable and well appointed. I really like the real coffee sachets. Great advice on where to in the evening. Breakfast time is very enjoyable for its interesting conversation as well as questions about what would you like to eat next? Special aspects include homemade rhubarb... More

Friends and I stayed at Bridge House whilst walking the Dales Way, from the original inquiry and throughout our stay Sheila was extremely helpful and could not do enough for us. This inculded collecting us from the A6 and dropped us off the next morning. We stayed at nine different B & B's during the walk and this was by... More

Stayed for one night on a trip away with my elderly father. Sheila gave us such a warm welcome and Dad really enjoy the care and attention. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The tea tray is packed with a good variety of tea and coffee options t/w Kendal Mint Cake, of course! Breakfast... More

Wow... had a fantastic break here over the new year, this accommodation is comfy, clean, homely, with sheila's extra little touches she makes you feel really welcome. A couple of minutes walk in to town, makes this an excellent location.
