We read reviews before booking and we were not disappointed.Comfortable bed in a peaceful setting and first class breakfast, what more could you ask for. Sue and Richard are excellent hosts who think of everything. Five minute walk into Hawkshead with excellent pubs for evening meal, particularly the Queens.

My family stayed at the Walker Ground for three nights in July and it was perfect in every way! Sue and Richard went above and beyond - the house was gorgeous, the bathrooms extraordinarily well stocked, the breakfast enormous and delicious and everything was very clean. Perhaps most important, the hosts were absolutely warm and super helpful. Sue knows every... More

We stayed for a week in July, and the place is perfect. Richard and Sue have thought of everything for self catering, from washing machine (although we didn't need it), dishwasher, crockery and kitchen equipment. Everything worked, from all the light bulbs to the extractor fan, which is rare in self catering these days. The bathroom is lovely, very spacious,... More

The house is just outside the beautiful village of Hawkshead, close to the area's walking trails, but is a mere 5 minute walk from the shops, pubs and other facilities. Ample parking, beautiful grounds and great public rooms. The bedroom was spotless, extremely comfortable and very well appointed. The wifi signal is very strong. The hosts, Sue and Richard, are... Spent two nights in Sue and Richard's beautiful home. Our hosts were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean which is very important to us.There were lots of little extras in our rooms to make the stay more pleasurable eg toiletries , and fluffy bathrobes and not forgetting the delicious chocolates. We endorse the comments... More

Very nice little B&B with just three rooms. We stayed in the garden view room which of course had a good garden view. The room was large and had plenty of character. The bed is a very comfortable super-king. The ensuite is a full sized bathroom with a large bath and separate shower cubicle. The room/bathroom had everything imaginable provided,... More

Couldn't fault this place. From the welcoming cup of tea to perfect wifi and beautiful huge breakfast Sue and Richard are the perfect hosts. If you are lucky enough to get in here grab the opportunity as it is in a great location and only 5 to 10 minutes walk to a great variety of eateries.
