This is an inn full of character in historic Hawkshead. Rooms are traditional and comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. No parking at the property but parking at the main car park is refunded. Good breakfast and dinner there is good too.hawshead is a great base for exploring the Lake District.

We ate at The Kings Arms for a special occasion, a double birthday celebration. After trying to get a table for half an hour, we managed to book a table with Lottie. Lottie went above the call of duty to make our night an unforgettable night. The food was excellent , the steaks were cooked to perfection & the Feta...

We were a group of 9 people who had a meal here and thoroughly enjoyed the service and the ambience too. The food was very good and those managing the service were competent and attentive. Had to pick up our keys for a house we were renting and decided to get food. Food was served quickly and was good quality. Great little spot in a nice small quaint village. Pet and kid friendly with warming heaters for outside, too.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently, the bar area and the room we stayed in could do with a bit of an uplift but maybe that is part of the quaintness of the pub. Despite my initial thoughts on the decor I have to say that the food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing, really really spot on. Breakfast...

This place doesn't look much from the outside however the food is fantastic great choice with good customer service. I have visited twice now and been very impressed with the quality of food served I would recommend this pub for a nice chilled out meal or even a few drinks in the beer garden.
