Stayed just one night here. Room 4, which is the one shown on this website, ground floor with small enclosed patio area. The room had recently been refurbished, was clean, with a modern bathroom. A little bit noisy, as right by main door for all other rooms and workmen were working on room next door, but nothing major. Great location,...

I have just returned from a stay here and it is a lovely hotel. We stayed at the 'Little Inn' which is across the road from the main hotel. So when you go for your breakfast etc you have to go across the road (no walking down in your PJ'S for you lazy folk) This didn't really bother us until...

Beautiful room and an even more comfy bed, probably the best nights kip we've had in ages. We didn't expect to get the exact room that we seen advertised but we did, and it was stunning. The Little Inn does not have a restaurant or a bar so for breakfast and other services like checking in you need to cross...

The hotel is refurbished and is clean and in a great location. Staff were friendly and attentive with a good standard of service. Parking can be tricky but there is a pay car park not far from the hotel and is not overly expensive. Room was comfortable but a few minor lack of attention to detail, broken fitment in shower...

We only stayed here for one night and to be honest I literally expected a bed and a breakfast and I was very pleasantly surprised. My better half booked this and I was thinking cheap and cheerful you know? We hiked all day in the lakes and were tired just looking for a hot shower, hot meal and bed. The...

A wonderful little place - quintessentially English cottage style and stunning decor - feels like luxury for a very reasonable price. It belongs to the red lion across the road which has a pub, cosy lounge with fire and a restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Lovely hot shower and comfy bed - an excellent base for walks in the...

We stayed at The little Inn formerly Ash Cottage part of The Inn at Grasmere over the road (formerly The Red Lion). The accommodation was nice clean and comfortable with a good breakfast provided in the main building. Parking could be a little hit or miss as there are not that many spaces to be had. Staff were good, We...

We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. I didn't give 5☆ rating as there was a hidden £10 per night charge for our dog (not mentioned when booked on booking.com) and although the freezing temperatures were be beyond anyone's control, our room (which was spacious, clean, comfortable with lovely views) was really rather cold. Luckily the staff...
