We stayed at The little Inn formerly Ash Cottage part of The Inn at Grasmere over the road (formerly The Red Lion). The accommodation was nice clean and comfortable with a good breakfast provided in the main building. Parking could be a little hit or miss as there are not that many spaces to be had. Staff were good, We...

We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. I didn't give 5☆ rating as there was a hidden £10 per night charge for our dog (not mentioned when booked on booking.com) and although the freezing temperatures were be beyond anyone's control, our room (which was spacious, clean, comfortable with lovely views) was really rather cold. Luckily the staff...

Annex to the main hotel, in centre of Grasmere, nice size, well decorated room with view of the fells. Only drawback, the bed was too firm for our old bones after walking in the area. Staff were very sympathetic and moved us to the main hotel for the second night. Nothing wrong with the bed, just down to our preference.

Stayed here with our border terrier of 3 and a half years and it was a really relaxing stay. Not worried about leaving him on his own as he was with us during breakfast and during our pub meal during our full 2 night stay. No need to put him in the car or leave him in the room, a...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on 6 and 7 November after a one night stay at The Inn across the road. Staff are super friendly and a lovely guy on reception who knew that we were checking in at the Little Inn after we had checked out of the Inn sorted things so we could check...

Stayed in room 114 which is on first floor overlooking car parking spaces at side of hotel and shops & cafes. Had requested quiet high floor room with nice view of fells so disappointed that our request had not been met. Room clean & spacious with nice selection of toiletries. Shower curtain rail was secured to ceiling with what looked...

We stayed in the Balcony room. The Room was fabulous, spotlessly clean and views over the green. There were two downsides with the Little Inn. Firstly breakfast was served in the Inn at Grasmere (where you have to check in on arrival). In bad weather this would be a bit of a problem. The biggest problem is parking. Don't expect...

We stayed for two nights and had a lovely stay but there are a few areas which could be improved upon. First of all the room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was small but perfectly formed with everything you needed. We had 2 lovely meals in the restaurant and enjoyed relaxing in the main lounge which had lots...

Just returned from a 2 night stay here. Very good accommodation. The room had clearly been recently redecorated although the furniture was sadly a bit battered. The only down side for us was that the en-suite shower room was quite in need of refurbishment which was a shame. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean but the...

First problem with this place is lack of parking, second is it doesn't have its own reception, you have to use the one over the road in The Inn. Room 10 - beautifully decorated, but right next to the front door which is extremely noisy - we got no sleep! Also, room 10 has floor length windows to 3 sides,...
