A lovely hotel in the centre of Grasmere. Very friendly staff, lovely room and beautiful breakfast with plenty choice. On arrival we were taken to our room (which is quite unusual I find) and welcomed to the room. The hotel was still decorated for xmas when we arrived and looked spectacular. Ajoining Tweedies bar was equally warm and welcoming and...

We were staying locally in Grasmere and had pre-booked the New Years Dinner at the Dale Lodge Hotel. The evening was £80 per head for canapés, champagne (one glass) 3 course dinner and live music so we felt this was quite expensive given the average standard of the restaurant food. The music was a guitarist/vocalist and violinist, they were very...

Just returned home from another fabulous three day break at Dale Lodge. We have stayed at this hotel a fair few times over the last few years and this is our third New Year we have spent with the team at Dale Lodge. The hotel is beautiful. The surroundings are simply stunning but what makes this hotel so good is...

We stayed here for 2 nights in between Christmas and New Year in Mews Suite 3. It was beautiful. Everything was brand new and it was nice to be in a self contained apartment. A lovely surprise to have an upstairs! We didn't use the hot tub but we definitely would have at a different time of year. Location is...

We visited this hotel for two nights after Christmas. We were with our 1 year old and booked a mews suite which consisted small living room area and mezzanine level with the bedroom area. Then the bonus was it offered us access to the hot tub in the courtyard. The room was a great size for us and suited us...

A beautiful Country House hotel, set in lovely grounds, right in the middle of one of the most beautiful villages in the Lakes District, Literally seconds from the village centre. The staff are very friendly and attentive, but at the same time discreet and not in your face. Nothing is too much trouble. Attached to the hotel is Tweedies Bar,...

Lovely cosy hotel, fantastic staff and lovely food. Home from home and very relaxed. The room was ideal for us and two dogs. Tweedies bar is very friendly and welcoming. The food menu is good and service is always friendly. No doggy smells in hotel, always a good sign!

Tweedies bar is excellent with an amazing selection of real ales, great staff and the food is pretty good too (higher standard than typical pub fare). We booked at the last minute and subsequently were given the last available room. The room was such a disappointment... very small and in need of modernising. We'd always been curious about DL because...

Very cosy, quirky room bedroom. Hotel was warm, friendly & very welcoming. A great shabby chiq hotel in my opinion, have stayed here before and will definitely return to this hotel in the near future.
