Really looked forward to this trip for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time for the first 24 hours. I had called ahead to advise that we had a dog with us and was advised by reception that dogs were permitted to stay in rooms alone. I was surprised by this and double checked and again was advised it...

Only a one night stay unfortunately but what a lovely hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and the guest rooms and bedrooms were of a very high standard. The food was also extremely good, being of a 2 AA rosette standard. Its not a "cheap" hotel , but you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend a visit.

My wife and I booked a two night dinner, bed and breakfast stay. We found the hotel to be very pleasant, with plenty of space, good parking and well placed for walking the fells, visiting grasmere galleries or the Lake District generally. Our room was ready even though we arrived early, although in the smaller Rydal room it had plenty...

Me and Tracey my partner stayed here for a 3 night breakfast and evening meal package from the 18th December. Lovely hotel and the rothay suite was very nice, although the bathroom lacked a bit of jazz and lustre and was boring to be honest. The meals were fantastic and the option of eating breakfast in your room at no...

The building is clean and well maintained with our food overlooking the river. The garden is beautiful and well maintained and lovely to look out on. There is a small but...

We saw this hotel while visiting the area and thought we would book as looked very nice. We were not disappointed, this is a lovely hotel, rooms were very clean and modern. Our dinner was beautifully presented and very enjoyable. The breakfast had the usual choice and served with a smile. It is a bit more expensive but you get...

We spent a night here for our Silver Wedding Anniversary in Dec 2016 and it is a fine hotel with good facilities. We especially enjoyed the excellent breakfast overlooking the beautiful gardens. Just a short 5 mins' walk to the village of Grasmere with its quaint shops and cafes. It rained but it didn't bother us at all ! Would...

Just spent 2 nights here. Staff, food and rooms all absolutely perfect. The food was amazing and Robert our waiter was very lovely and obliging. Would definitely return, hopefully with friends. Grasmere its self pitifies a typical English village.
