Our first time staying in a hotel in Grasmere and this hotel looked amazing . When we arrived the person on the desk didn't seem too interested but check in was quick. Our room 109 was very clean and very warm but as we were the first room you came to from the top of the stairs on the first...

Wonderful old inn, in the middle of pretty Grasmere village, with spa and swimming pool. The hotel is in the process of being renovated, and the renovations so far are simply lovely and very tasteful. Its been decorated in a contemporary shabby chic style, with lovely cosy sofas, leather chairs, log fires and lovely modern touches. The lounge was closed...

We thought we had hit the jackpot when we arrived here on Friday . We love the lakes and have stayed in a few hotels . This was a different one for us but first impressions were good . The hotel looks like it has an interesting history and think it possibly dates back to 1769 as that is the...

This hotel was originally called the Red Lion and has had a makeover. Bedrooms have been decorated and public areas have been opened up for easier access. The swimming pool remains as inviting as ever. I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and this was a mistake as breakfast was a chaotic experience and one I would rather forgo.

We stayed just one night, in one of the dog-friendly rooms at the newly refurbished old Red Lion. It has been well updated, very clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Located right in the middle of Grasmere, and with parking onsite, it was a god choice. We would stay again. Didn't eat there, as the apparently non-changing menu was uninspiring. Lots...

Stayed at the sister hotel the 'Little inn' but we had an evening meal here. Was abit pricey but was very nice food. We booked in for 8.30 and they closed at 9 so we were still eating after the 9 o'clock closing time. The staff began to pack everything away clearing all the tables etc around us and turned...

Grasmere is one of my favourite locations in the U.K. and The Inn is situated at the heart of Grasmere. A fully modernised hotel with amazing decor which has stayed true to the local area. The bar and restaurant offer a range of food which is of a very high standard so I recommend the DBB packages. Staff are extremely...

Here, life is beautiful. Our Club rooms feature separate comfy seating areas with television, bathrobes, slippers, complimentary bottled water and daily newspaper.
