Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Wordsworth Hotel and Spa in Grasmere. Was a lovely hotel with pleasant staff who were really helpful. The hotel was a little tired in places and would benefit from a spruce up but had a really great clean pool, sauna and jacuzzi. We only used these the once on the Saturday...

We booked a spa day and afternoon tea through tripadvisor for £20 pp and it was a lovely day. Although the changing rooms were very small not helped by the fact everyone seemed to get out of the pool at once! The afternoon tea was lovely, warm scones, lemon meringue was delicious! Lovely day.

We stayed for one night in a superior classic double room. The room was lovely and warm (with an air conditioner if it was too hot!!). The reception staff were excellent on our arrival as we arrived a few hours early to take advantage of a hike around the lakes and hills nearby. The room was comfortable with a selection...

Terrible nights stay for the princely some of £230! Constant banging, hum drumming, and generator noise right outside our window-like sitting in a bathroom with a loud extractor fan on all night. 😭 We wanted a relaxing break, this was far from it sadly. Already home on sofa with duvet for a sleep, left the hotel by 9. Total waste...

Booked a couple of nights at The Wordsworth through Secret Escapes and to be honest after seeing some of the recent mixed reviews recently on TA I was a little apprehensive of what to expect. However, the room was lovely; we did get an upgrade to a Junior suite, which was a bonus and made our stay so much more...

Just finishing our stay at the Wordsworth Hotel and we have had a lovely break. The hotel is in the heart of the best village in the lakes (in our opinion) and this hotel is a gem. The hotel is welcoming, comfortable and well cared for and the staff are very helpful and efficient. Our room is large and well...

Me and my boyfriend stayed one night in a village view room and we loved every minute! We were able to check in just before 3 as we had massages booked, we were shown to our beautiful room which had everything we needed. We both had hot stone massage which were great, definitely recommend. After this we used the facilities,...

The car park Very tight, we literally had the last space. The room On arrival they tried to place us in room 40. This room is near the rear entrance and is adapted for people with disabilities. It didn't suit us, so we went to reception to request that we be placed in an alternative room. Initially, the receptionist was...

This hotel is right in the centre of Grassmere, and has plenty of parking space at the rear. You can walk out of the hotel and explore the quiet village right away. We found the staff friendly and efficient. We choose to eat in the Dove Bistro and were impressed with the quality of the food. Again the staff there...

We booked a classic double room for D,B&B. The food was fabulous, and the service mostly good - however, unfortunately the bedroom did not live up to expectation. We were in an extremely small poky room, with a bed hardly big enough for the two of us. The classic double rooms, which is what we had booked, are supposed to have...
