Set in a stunning part of the world, Bank Ground Farm is an equally stunning property, ideal for the whole family. The property is set about 5 minutes by car from Coniston village, and about 20 minutes or so from Windermere. It comprises various cottages, of which we booked two adjoining properties for our vast group. Each property had a...

We have come back today after a 3 night break . There was 20 in our group and we stayed in two adjacent cottages: The Stables and The Barn. The location is stunning! Both properties overlooked Coniston Lake, which we also had direct access to. The properties are beautiful, decorated to a high standard, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Jonathan...

An absolutely stunning location, beautiful cottage and an amazing weekend away with the family. Only complaint, we couldn't stay longer! No short fall of things to do, from biking and boating, having a barbecue, visiting the local village, to a quick trip to Windermere. The 20+ of us had a fab time and have plenty of pictures to look back...

Truly spectacular location on Coniston Water. House dates back to the 1500s. It is especially magical for fans of Swallows and Amazons. Excellent food and friendly host and staff. Beds were comfortable. Really enjoyed spending the evenings in the beautiful sitting rooms by the fire watching the light fade on the lake and hills.

My fiancé and I stayed in 'The Loft' for 5 days and had a brilliant time. It's a great set up - comfortable upstairs with log fire and a well set-up kitchen. Downstairs a comfy bed and room that's blissfully dark and quiet. The farm itself is very picturesque and right on the lake. It's a comfortable 25min walk into...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Jonathon was always very quick to reply to emails and was happy to answer any questions. We stayed in The Loft Cottage, the bedroom is on the bottom floor and can seem quite dark howver this means you have all the wonderful views from the lounge and kitchen upstairs. Nice walk around to all...

A delightful cottage with amazing views over Coniston, even if it rained. The log fire made it feel homely and there are all the self catering needs required for a family. Perfect! The owner was attentive to our needs and sorted us out with a boat for a trip to Peel Island (‘Wild Cat’) . A pleasurable delight for two...

We stopped off here (with our children, aged 8 and 5) for two nights in the B&B, on the way to Scotland. Fantastic location with loads of things to do and caters well for kids....but not in an "everything revolves around kids" type way so you don't feel like you are staying at a creche. We had an adjoining room...

A wonderful cottage with perfect views over Coniston. A homely feel with log fire and all the self catering needs for a family. We will definitely be back! The perfect touch was the owner coming round and asking if our youngster fancied seeing the new born lambs and cows up the road.......what a lovely touch. We would recommend this to...

Having stayed at Bank Ground Farm on a few occasions, this trip was special as it was the first time since having our wedding there last June. Jonathan and his dad were as welcoming as ever. We were greated with the usual homemade, delicious cakes in our cottage, a well stocked log store, warm and clean kennels for our dog,...
