A last minute weekend away for my wife and I, was very impressed with our stay. We went on the motorbike and was pleased that there was a Tarmac area to park on (no one wants the bike to fall !). A very warm welcome, they even offered to dry our gear out for us. Room was on the small... More

The accommodation was a fully equipped self contained apartment! Breakfast was of the highest quality and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Great value and it made a wash out visit to the lakes much more enjoyable. I wish I were back there now for the full English breakfast after an amazing shower using the White Co. Toiletries supplied and... More

I stayed here for a short stay in Cockermouth. It really is a gem in the heart of the lakes. The room was brilliant and had so many things that you dont get even from a major hotel chain. The whole place is splotlessly clean and the breakfasts were just excellent. The staff were very helpful and made you feel... More

We had 3 rooms over last weekend - all excellent but if you are going ask for Room 2 which comes with a kitchen and a sitting room as well! Combined with #3 you have a lovely set up with no other conflicts with other guests. They have spent a lot of money getting the BNB to the very high... More

Started with a very warm welcome to this lovely place. It is set in the countryside outside Cockermouth, and a great base for exploring this much underestimated part of the Lakes. Scores highly on lots of things such as big enough towels, large comfortable bed, seating for two people in the room, fresh milk for tea and coffee and a... More

Visited on business based on recommendation from colleague. Very good rooms and service. Would definitely stay again for personal use as well. Variety in breakfast and close distance to town centre. Reasonable prices and clean rooms

Myself and my fiancé booked the Graysonside the night before we arrived after lots of indecision about where to stay in Cockermouth. We don't usually stay in B&B's but the reviews of this placed persuaded me to book. I have no regrets with our decision because it turned out to be one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.... Staying for a few nights here before going to a Golden Wedding Celebration. I would certainly come back here again as one is made very welcome and the rooms are very comfortable with all the facilities you would require. Breakfasts are excellent with a extensive menu.
