The hotel is just off Windermere, we had a room (#26) in the block at the back. I would recommend ear plugs as the walls are paper thin, you can even hear neighbours pulling curtains and farting! This meant that at 4, 5, 6am we were awoken as others set out to begin early hikes or walks. Bed was comfy,... More

We Visited the Regent as it was a place my partners parents had visited so many time before and brought back very happy memories for my partners Mum on the celebration of her 80th Birthday. The owners were so very kind taking time to spend talking to us and making the whole weekend memorable.... Thankyou

We are delighted that your Mum enjoyed her 80th Birthday with us it was a pure pleasure to make sure everything went well. She was a delight to chat with as she could remember the hotel from years ago, before a lot of the current staff worked for the Regent from when she used to come and stay with her husband.... More

Just recently my wife and I have again returned to the Regent for a chill out 3 night stay. On this visit we stayed in the Sale Loft and what a fantastic break we have had, as on all our previous visits the staff and food both breakfast and dinner have been great. A very comfortable hotel, family-run, with very good service. We always enjoy the food, with breakfast choices to suit everyone and an excellent dinner menu. This is our third visit so by that you can tell we like it! So far we have stayed in Room 7 which we like for the walk-in shower and view of the lake, but... More

This is a great hotel. From the warm and efficient greeting to the ambience of the rooms it was a pleasure to be there. The service in the restaurant and bar was first rate. I asked the barman for. A cocktail which he had not come across so he looked it up on Google and it was perfect. The dining... More

We booked this as our 'usual' hotel was full. Accommodation very good and cuisine excellent. Most helpful staff. All the rooms with bath rather than shower were taken but the en suite facilities were very fine. We shall be back.

The Regent was overall a great base for our first visit to the Lake District. Breakfast was brilliant. Julie makes the place and it wouldn't be the same without her. Helpful reception staff who go the extra mile. Rooms could be a little cleaner and beds not the most comfortable but overall the stay was relaxing. Dinner at the hotel,... More

This was our first stay at the Regent Hotel and we really enjoyed the visit. We booked a superior room (41) which, we knew, had no view of the lake and overlooked the car park. We were expecting a slightly larger room but nevertheless it was pleasant enough with a good sized bathroom with underfloor heating. The evening meal in... More

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review on Tripadvisor about your 3 night break with us at the Regent Hotel.
