Good clean site with nice shop and pizza barn. Large and tidy with a number of caravans, yurts and tents. We stayed in four large Teepis (picture) which had all the basic stuff like a gas ring and wood burning stove and foam matresses. Shower block was very good and well maintained

We have been to the tipis 3 times now and even though our children are now teenagers, they still really enjoy staying in the tipis. The tipis are very well equipped and very cosy in all weather conditions. The owners are very accommodating and go out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend the tipis

The tipi was great fun. It had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The tipis area was quiet surrounded by trees and a stream. Outside the tipi there was a fire bowl and picnic bench, allowing us to make the most of the great outdoors. The shower block was nearby with plenty clean hot showers and bathroom facilities. The campsite was lovely with a well stocked shop and even a take away pizza van. There was lots to do in the surrounding area. It was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend it.

Came here for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier, it's a national trust site so all the facilities are clean and looked after, 4 winds is just set aside from the main site and has 4 tipi on and a few yurt!! We had willow lodge tipi, everything you need is there, just need to take bedding and supplies obviously!! Although I'd stock up on firewood as we went through a lot !! Had the best weekend, the weather was kind, the tipi was fun , and I lost at jenga too many times!! Thankyou 4 winds we'll be back !!

We had a week in our tipi at the end of August. Inevitably, we had our fair share of rain as well as some decent days. Tipi is comfortable enough. Can get a bit chilly overnight, so having the woodburner on in the evening is helpful. Loved sitting outside with the firebowl. Unlike a tent, you don't have a 'porch' to sit under when it's wet, so you're either in or out. The location is lovely - the site is good and the NT reception, shop and staff all very helpful. Lovely pizzas onsite too.
