My new husband and I spent a fabulous 4 night break here in the Loweswater suite. Stunning views, and we were made to feel so welcome. Beautiful arts and crafts house decorated to the highest standard. Wonderful breakfast - Sue the owner makes home made lemon curd and jams which are so tasty - and fabulous cakes which were a...

We were only at Nanny Brow for one night (to escape the teenagers party) and we had a lovely stay. The house is amazing and Susan had left up all the christmas decorations so it felt really homely, almost like visiting a relative ! The room was warm and comfortable with everything you would need, tea , biccies etc.Even though...

We had a fantastic couple of nights at Nanny Brow. This was our first stay here and we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. The hotel itself is amazing and in the most beautiful surroundings. Sue and Pete are great hosts and in addition to putting on a lovely New Year spread for all the...

We stayed at Nanny Brow between Christmas and new year for two nights. The building is very nicely finished in a country cottage style. We had one of the cheaper rooms and it was more than adequate. It was a very nice size and done out very nicely. The breakfast was served in the main house (a few yards away)...

We stayed for two nights for my boyfriend's birthday - the hotel itself is beautiful, as are it's surroundings. The welcome was warm and the room was very clean and beautifully decorated. All the staff couldn't do enough for us - homemade cakes were left for us each day, drinks served on request and anything we asked for was attended...

I took my partner here for a few nights as a birthday treat. What a great location with excellent rooms. The welcome from Sue and the team was second to none even giving my partner a birthday card at breakfast. Everything has been thought of here so you'll never be asking for more.

This was our first visit to Nanny Brow and there is no doubt that all the plaudits we had previously read about this establishment are well deserved. The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere could not have been bettered and our room was spotless and well heated with hot water at the turn of the tap. All those little extras provided...

Have just been to view Nanny Brow in respect of holding our wedding here. What an absolute find! We felt right at home from stepping through the front door. Susan and her staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms are all amazing. The restoration of the arts and crafts interior are second to none. We cannot wait to get...

My partner and I stayed here this weekend for our first ever weekend in the lakes and we couldn't have asked for a better place. It is warm, clean, homely and very comfortable. Our hosts were kind and welcoming, and the breakfast is fantastic. The lounge is cosy as anything, a perfect place to come back to after trekking up...
