Came in Easter and just had to come again. My boyfriend has been with family many times over the years and now we come together. Such cosy and beautiful rooms, beds are comfy and bathrooms are pristine. Breakfasts are top notch and would definitely recommend buying some of the homemade marmalade and jams. Lovely owners too.

We booked having read all the 5* reviews so had high expectations. But it was even better. The breakfasts were superb all freshly prepared with local or homemade produce great portion sizes not overwhelming and plenty of choice. Considering they are all freshly prepared the presentation is amazing too. Packed lunches a range of sizes and plenty of choice again... More

We have stayed with Paul & Vicky many times during the 3 years my son has been at university in Ambleside. The standard of the rooms is very high, service is friendly and welcoming and breakfast delicious. We love their commitment to local produce. Very highly recommended - book early and book direct!

I have stayed here many times and my recent visit was a good as ever. I checked availability on their website and then Paul was very helpful when I phoned to book. Clean, comfortable, well furnished room, en-suite with bath. Breakfasts were superb, as always and fuelled me well for a day's walking. Helpful. pleasant staff.

Second stay, first was in 2015, lived up to high expectations. Paul & Vicky run the B&B very efficiently with a great attitude to customer service. Very busy year round so book early to guarantee your room selection. Superb breakfast, sets you up for the full day. Best compliment I can add is that we will return for visit number... More

Excellent stay. Welcoming. Rooms are to a good standard for the type of hotel. Very clean. Breakfast exceeded my expectations - the effort taken to source quality local produce was exceptional. Jams, museli and bread were homemade. Special effort was made to provide options for my vegan partner. Great value and great location in Ambleside. The owners have provided ample... More
