Went there as a couple dropping in having visited this pub over the years for its idyllic setting not the pubs making . The drinks were rediculously overpriced 8.40 for 2 pints worse they serve none of them the best sellers with cider that synonmm or something that could be used as vinegar truly Aweful . We intended to eat... More

As we were staying at the Spurn Point Observatory and this is the only place to eat within easy walking/cycling distance - we said to ourselves 'how bad can it be?' We had to queue quite a while to be served, the poor barmaid was run ragged and the landlady/owner we had heard so much about was at that point... More

My partner and I paid a visit on the 12th of august 2015, after visiting Spun Point. We both decided to have a meal, of scampi and chips, for my partner. I choose Cheeseburger and chips. The food was excellent. We sat outside the pub, and admired the view of the Humber estuary, and the floor show of the seals,... More

Lovely location, especially when the sun's shining. Nice menu, but doesn't change much. We've visited quite a few times, in the last couple of years and it's pretty much the same. Bar staff lovely. Best to book if you want a table in the small restaurant (room).

My wife and i stayed at the Crown and anchor on 20th sept 2014 we checked in at about 12-30 and were greeted by the barmaid at the pub ( who was fantastic all weekend) and quickly shown to our room (no 3) which was a twin room we would have preferred a double but we booked the week before... More

Enjoying a early evening pint (a very good one I may add) outside of the Crown and Anchor I witnessed what I can only describe as an unprovoked attack on two innocent ladies by the so called land lady. She stormed out shouted something about not eating own food then stormed back in. Now at no time did I see... More

Food good but what makes this place is the staff. They are so friendly and greet you like old friends. Highly recommended if you are in this little area of loveliness.great to be able to look out to sea as it is very close to the Point.

This is a great pub/guest house, right on the edge of the Humber where it meets the North Sea. There are 5 rooms. I secured one in late Feb 14. Brilliant food served in the bar with real coal fired heating downstairs - see later gripe. Spurn Point is the real attraction. Sadly. access to that finger of land is... More

Amazed to see all the positive reviews of this pub. The pub is indeed wonderfully situated, serves real ales and good value food. However, all of this is negated by the landlady who sets a new low in rudeness and appalling customer service. In addition to her sour manner she caused great embarrassment to my party by loudly criticising us... More
