We spent two nights in this amazing tribute to Queen Victoria and her family! The decor of this magnificently restored mansion is tasteful, original, elegant, and very comfortable. Breakfast is wonderfully cooked and presented in a beautiful dining room which is true to the period! Afternoon tea is enjoyable, and this activity adds so much to the atmosphere. The garden... Spent one night here as a couple in early July-16. Beautiful B&B run by a delightful host. Lovely old world charm and service (and big bonus of no TV in rooms!). Centrally located, parking off street. Lovely old world rooms, a step back to simpler times. Nice breakfast with an interesting and engaged group of fellow guests. Highly recommended.

My husband and I recently spent four nights in this B & B. We were delighted with everything! The room was a generous size, the bathroom was large with beautiful fixtures and the king size bed was so comfortable with crisp, clean linens. Tea served in the garden and breakfast in the luxurious dining room were top notch. The location... More

This property must have been a labour of love for the proprietor and it certainly shows. I could have spent a day just admiring the period details. It's everything you'd want from a B & B ; welcoming, relaxed, clean and a convenient location for the centre of town. All with the added bonus of being an interesting place to... More

A step back in time, rooms beautifully decorated, greeted with afternoon tea with cake, a very relaxing feel to the house, if you enjoy history this is the B & B for you! A wonderful capture of history

Run by former butler Harold Brown, this B&B is beautifully appointed. Attention to detail is extraordinary. Fine linens, feather pillows and duvets, American style plumbing (up-to-the minute and brand new, unlike many British B&Bs). The house itself is an experience -almost a re-enactment of Victorian gracious living. Harold's collection is museum standard. Breakfast is included but dinner can be ordered.... More

Truly unique B&B, proudly taking it s stand in the Victorian era. A glorious feast to the curious, inquisitive eye and mind! The past lives of women and men of royal lineage are displayed in a wonderful art collection throughout the house . Every little item seems to bring the past to life! Our bedroom was a testimony to that... More

I'm reluctant to praise this B&B as it is the most magnificent example of how a B&B should be! Reluctant because I want it to be our secret, but I guess the cat is out of the bag now. Great communication from Howard, the proprietor both before and throughout our stay. Afternoon tea on arrival at 4:30 pm and the... More

The B&B was initially difficult to find since house numbers and signage were absent. However the "WOW" factor kicked in upon entering the building. The whole house was straight out of Victorian England. The proprietor is a retired English Butler and this was reflected in the service. My room was very comfortable with a small but fully functional en-suite bathroom.... More

Great host, excellent location with parking , spacious bedroom /bathroom , large very comfy bed very much a 5 star B&B . The Victorian theme has been completed to an excellent standard and whilst Harold had compromised with a radio in the room , no TV might be an unspoken issue for many in this age although it did not...
