Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells is set in one of the town's architectural landmarks, a Grade II-listed sandstone mansion built as a private residence in 1762. We have retained its authentic detail carefully, adding our unique touch to the 34 bedrooms with antiques and memorabilia. Guests can enjoy a game of boules, dining on the garden terrace with its wonderful views across Calverley Park, or a wander through the hotel's very own vineyard. BEDROOMS: Housed within this impressive building are 34 timelessly styled bedrooms and stunning suites, all featuring luxurious handsprung mattresses, fine Egyptian linen, deep baths and powerful drench showers, plasma TVs, DVDs and air conditioning. BISTRO: Open all week, and under the tutelage of head chef Daniel McGarey, Bistro du Vin is at the heart of our hotel, a classic, French styled, elegant and informal setting for lunch, dinner, to meet, celebrate or simply pass the time. Dine on the finest produce the Kent has to offer from local heroes such as herbs and seasonal vegetables from local nursery chef's herbs, meat from Woodlands Farm and fish from Chapman's of Sevenoaks. These are only a handful of the suppliers included within our homegrown & local philosophy.

It was the 1st week back after long lockdown so taking that in to account it was OK. Staff very friendly and accommodating. They made an error with the order but were great at compensating us for that, quite generously and without prompting, so that's a sign of class. The steaks were not great quality and it was a cold night, outside of course, and the promised heaters weren't available coz they hadn't had their gas delivery that day. Hopefully all "teething" issues. Nice location outside. Will try them again now that they've had a month to get back in the swing

We made a dinner reservation last minute and, due to COVID-19, were seated on the terrace with not one but TWO patios heaters and an umbrella. The food and service were great and Adam made us feel very welcome.

This was our fifth visit to Hotel Du Vin and will be our last, we’d previously stayed here on wedding night amongst other times and find it an excellent establishment, unfortunately it’s obviously under new management as it’s not a 5 star service anymore. Booked a table for my wife’s birthday (which was even acknowledge by staff), for 3 people, started off ok, order drinks and food, food was ok standard, steak was meant to have pepper corn sauce and was served with some other sauce, finished our main courses, my wife and me went to have a cigarette in the smoking area and return to our table, only to find it had been cleared of everything including out drinks. 3star hotel and food at a push, won’t ever be returning after using hotel for over 7 years.

Luxury hotel is a very big lie. Their services and hotel quality is far from luxury. Poor finish to rooms. Paint splatters all over the ground, paint on sockets, etc. It isn’t luxury to have poor work done. The people they get to do work in rooms aren’t of a good skill level. And aren’t presented well and they are very loud and not so pleasant on the ears. Heater didn’t turn off in the room. I tried various ways. It wasn’t my faults. It just didn’t ever turn off. Thankfully it wasn’t summer time. I had windows open most of the time. Which wasn’t ideal. No Diet Coke...even a day before opening their restaurant back up, so their was no Diet Coke! Not in pumps? Nothing? Really. I don’t buy it. Someone one time my partner asked where someone was he heard rudely from behind a guy saying “she’s in a six hour meeting” in a forceful tone. Gardeners using a blower. Blowing dirt, etc into a corner and leaving it. Along with Blowing dirt, and other rubble on the ground onto peoples cars. They could also barely walk too. They should be using a sucker or sweeper. I saw litter blowing out of the hotel grounds. Blowing stuff into hedges to I guess hide it. I’ve saw them do it twice and the finish is still untidy. Still litter around too. Poor work. New key entry was done on the hotel room door. Not sure why ours was so urgent to do. When many others weren’t done when we left. But the workers left wood chippings on the ground inside and out the room. And other shavings left on the door and right outside the room. I hurt my finger on a chipping too. We were also lied to by one worker saying we couldn’t go around the back with our dog. But then two days later my partner brought it up again to another worker and said basically yes we can go around the back. So I’m not sure why we were told no at first! One early morning the shower was running cold water only. But then was fine several hours later. So you can’t always shower when you wish. Car parking is a nightmare. Many people parked poorly and when brought up one car was blocking a entrance/exit the staff didn’t care. The same person parked poorly throughout the days and nothing was done. Also was told nothing about reserving a spot. Then my partner then asked how come others had reservations on spots. Turns out we could. Many important bits of information ignored or just slack staff.

Thanks to Amy our first out door venture post lockdown was a huge success. Amy helped us select the perfect wine from nothing but a vague description of what we like. Really appreciate the friendly staff and her manager was funny. Highly recommend.
