The hotel is very well placed in the town and about 12 mins walk to the famous Pantiles area. We stayed in the Louis Jadot room which was clean and comfortable. For me the room was oddly shaped and not sympathetically in tune with the fabric of the building. The ugly vents in the ceiling did not help nor did...

I recently had afternoon tea for two in The Tea Room on a Thursday afternoon. The room was beautiful and the selection of cakes, scones, sandwiches and pastries were all delicious. So impressed and the service was great too. I have to mention the receptionist/hostess (a young blonde lady) who was so friendly and welcoming; it really adds to the...

Compared to other hotels in the same chain we found this Du Vin to be rather dark inside. The room was lovely with a great view over the gardens at the rear of the hotel. The menu is a disappointment, all Du Vin hotels use the same menu and we think that results in lack of interest by the catering...

This is a lovely hotel, I have a monthly lunch here and always look forward it! Delicious food refined friendly service and great surroundings. If you're staying overnight ask for one of the 6 rooms that have just been redesigned and upgraded to the highest level with free standing baths and luxurious details

This was a pre-Valentines meal on the Sunday evening the meal was very below average and staff were slow. The over all standard of the evening was poor and over priced for what it was. After eating at sister hotel in Brighton I was very disappointed.

Great meal and overnight stay. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Cosy drinks in the bar followed by great dinner in the restaurant, especially the vegetarian option. Only criticism is the hotel rooms are a bit bland, especially compared to the bathrooms which are gorgeous.

My wife and I went, using a 'special deal' for evening meal, overnight and Breakfast. It was fabulous. The evening meal was excellent, really tasty with a good choice. My pork loin was excellent. The room was spacious, with everything we needed and an amazing bed, so comfortable. Great breakfast too. We will be back! Recommended to anyone wanting to...

We stayed here on our wedding night after getting married nearby. We booked it for £50 deal and we're lucky enough to be upgraded to their bridal room which was fantastic! Huge bathroom with sofa and walk in shower and roll top bath and a bottle of bubbly waiting. Breakfast the next morning was very nice. Great stay.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells is set in one of the town's architectural landmarks, a Grade II-listed sandstone mansion built as a private residence in 1762. We have retained its authentic detail carefully, adding our unique touch to the 34 bedrooms with antiques and memorabilia. Guests can enjoy a game of boules, dining on the garden terrace with its wonderful views across Calverley Park, or a wander through the hotel's very own vineyard. BEDROOMS: Housed within this impressive building are 34 timelessly styled bedrooms and stunning suites, all featuring luxurious handsprung mattresses, fine Egyptian linen, deep baths and powerful drench showers, plasma TVs, DVDs and air conditioning. BISTRO: Open all week, and under the tutelage of head chef Daniel McGarey, Bistro du Vin is at the heart of our hotel, a classic, French styled, elegant and informal setting for lunch, dinner, to meet, celebrate or simply pass the time. Dine on the finest produce the Kent has to offer from local heroes such as herbs and seasonal vegetables from local nursery chef's herbs, meat from Woodlands Farm and fish from Chapman's of Sevenoaks. These are only a handful of the suppliers included within our homegrown & local philosophy. ... more   less
