We had the suite for just 1-night this week, it is spacious, very well furnished, perfectly clean, with a great wrap-round balcony overlooking the sea providing wonderful views and fresh air.
We had dinner in the restaurant, which was quite at the time we ate, the menu was smaller than I would have liked, but maybe thats the time of year, more choice would have been good, the food was well presented, well cooked, pleasantly served and good value for money.
All the the staff we came into contact with were welcoming, polite and professional, we had breakfast, which was plentiful and very enjoyable.
An overall very good stay and a highly recommended hotel.

I have tried to upload my review before but didn't work! I am time poor and the very fact that I wanted to make sure Albion received praise speaks volumes. It was a very wet and windy day and we were particularly tired and cold. As soon as we arrived our mood lifted. We were greeted with warmth and kindness-wet coats and clothes quickly whisked away and dried, we were a party of 8 with 2 children and all were taken care of exquisitely. The interior is beautiful, Georgian splendor reigns supreme with Farrow and Ball colours that have been tastefully selected. The food was delicious and wine list favoured local vineyards- the Chapel Down a particular hit. It is very hard to cater for adults and children alike, a balance lots of places struggle to pitch right but the yummy pancakes and staff made our boys very happy and if the children are well provided for the adults relax and return! I cannot wait to visit again and encourage anyone to stay and support Albion. Thank you for your attention to detail and well done!

My wife and I were fortunate to have booked a few days at Albion House just before the coronavirus pandemic really hit. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and all the staff we met were very friendly and were taking every conceivable precaution to ward off any infection. They could not have been more careful. The hotel is a historic Georgian building which has been lovingly decorated in a manner totally in keeping with the history of the building with the addition of tasteful modern artwork. Our room was most comfortable and was very well equipped; we had wonderful views of the Royal Harbour from our windows. A slight downside was that there was no lift but the Georgian staircase with its low rise steps meant that even without a lift it was not difficult to reach our 2nd floor room, despite my slightly limited mobility. The food and service in the restaurant (and the wine) were excellent. We had a truly delightful stay and would whole-heartedly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the Ramsgate area. Good walks along the coast in both directions - we particularly enjoyed an easy walk to Broadstairs in beautiful sunshine - not that the hotel can guarantee the weather!

This tastefully decorated, historic hotel is in a great location on an elevated position overlooking the coastline and harbour. Our room (no. 1) was on the first floor at the front with excellent sea/harbour views. The cosy room had a large, comfortable bed and good sized en-suite. There were complimentary, good quality toiletries and tea/ coffee making facilities. Large flat screen TV on wall. All of the staff we met were very efficient and helpful. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening meals (sirloin steak and sea bass) and breakfast was very good (granola, full English and smashed avocado). The hotel is just a few minutes walk away from the town centre and the wartime tunnels which we can highly recommend (unless you are claustrophobic). We found free car parking in nearby Augusta Road.

The Albion sits on top of Ramsgate which great views, pity I made a mistake of booking the accessible room which is in the basement, my error, as I was booking last minute and rushing, the room is spacious accessed from a lift behind reception, the bathroom is massive. the room could do with a table and a power point next to the mirror for a hairdryer.

We arranged to have pre dinner drinks in the lounge, the public areas have been reconfigured to accommodate covid, we had a table set aside for us in the main restaurant, the super helpful Yannick said that we might want to stay were we where as it was busy with a couple fo groups and a bit noisy. we had the chicken Kiev which was good a delicious bottle of wine all served by Yannick who seemed to be the front desk and the Maitre D, he made our meal right level of attention and we had an engaging conversation on how he came to be in Ramsgate.

Breakfast was good, excellent poached eggs, no vinegar. Plenty of choice given what's going on .

Location is good easy to walk into town or explore the sea front, parking is a bit limited as everything is a meter, there is a small carpark just behind the hotel where you can park longer than a few hours.

Would I stay again , yes and book the right room

Thank you to the lady on reception for providing the paint colours , we now have a blue front door :)

Dear Varney Thank you for your lovely review. I will be sure to pass them onto Yannick. He is one of the duty managers so it may have been that he was covering the reception desk in the evening you were here. I have made a note about the room needing a table with a power point for the hairdryer and will look into how to achieve this. Glad I could help with the paint colours and that you chose one for your front door. I am sure it looks splendid. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future and book early to get the best rooms. Warm regards Rosey

Team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was beautifully serviced, shower powerful and the cocktails in the bar area are highly recommended. The location is also great, with views out to the beach and sea.

Dear Travelbug5000000 Thank you for your lovely words. We try to use the best amenities in the rooms, from our natural mat mattresses to the white company goods in the bathroom. I am glad you appreciated what the room had to offer and the views. Liam, our resident cocktail mixer, is one of Ramsgate's best, and glad you enjoyed his cocktails. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Warm regards Rosey

Even though I am worried that more good reviews mean its harder to book this awesome hotel in the future, I loved my experience so much, its only fair.

Firstly, these are people that really care. The service is second to none as they check with you before your arrival to make sure every detail and requirement is met.

Check-in was easy, served immediately and able to purchase cold drinks in the restaurant for tired, thirsty little travellers.

The rooms are great. Old fashioned yet all mod-cons, meticulously clean and extremely comfortable.

Proximity to the beach is a no-brainer. Its just 4 min walk, sorted!

Dinner in the restaurant felt special. Great atmosphere, beautifully designed and fitted with that classy, uptown vibe. The design of this boutique hotel is closer to Shoreditch than Ramsgate with its sleek furnishings, sofas, modern prints mixed in with retro design to remind you that Princess Victoria once stayed here!!

Food is excellent. All the classics so youngsters can get a decent cheeseburger if they want with more sophisticated dishes for the adults or single diners or couples. Cocktail menu, good wine list. Breakfast was excellent, my friend was raving about her pancake. Kids got bacon, sausages and the cappuccinos were superb. I am officially converted.

I really did enjoy my stay with my family at the Albion House Hotel and am positive that I will be back again.

Many thanks to the staff for going the extra mile. You made our trip truly memorable.

Thanks Albion House team. Keep doing what you are doing.

After going past many times since discovering the wonders of Ramsgate two years ago, I decided to make an impromptu booking here as an Easter school holiday treat for a night away with my son.

We were booked and on the train on the same day and I received an email kindly offering to reserve a table for dinner if we needed. We had plans to go out with family and other kids so didn't take them up on this but hope to return at some point in future for a main meal with my husband. The restaurant in my opinion is more for adults than children, who may not be as adventurous in their eating.

We stayed in a super king room, and the bed was split into two as per my request. The sheets were exquisitely soft so it's no wonder they actually sell them to guests who want their own for home.

The room was equipped with everything we needed for our short stay, with a small desk, chair and a lovely selection of teas and coffees (nice to see decaf options and mint tea included).

My favourite part was the stunning bathroom. From the faux crystal doorknob to the authentic tiling it fitted with the period style of the hotel, which itself is a stunning building with decor fitting of the age.

I loved the relaxing breakfast of sweet potato and polenta waffles and was delighted when told my Buck's Fizz was thrown into the order as part of our B&B booking.

Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, polite and welcoming. We were offered the chance to stay another night at a discounted rate and were sorely tempted if only we had another change of clothes!

The hotel is only minutes away from the Royal Harbour and seafront, with stairs across the road leading down so is in a perfectly location. There is a Loop bus stop opposite which goes through the town, to the train station, Margate and Broadstairs.

A wonderful stay and I look forward to returning in future.

We took a room (no. 12) on the top floor for the view so tolerated the 3 flights of stairs. At the end of a long day's walking they were hard work but we thought of the exercise we were getting. A large, very comfortable bed made the room feel small at first but we actually had plenty of room for a few days stay. Plenty of tea, ground coffee bags and fresh milk sachets were provided. The bathroom was stunning, well lit with a walk-in shower and beautiful fittings. We understand some rooms do have baths if that's your preference. The bed linen and towels were all top quality and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in of any hotel.
Two lounge connected areas overlooked the harbour so we could sit and enjoy the view and read the fascinating history of the building and its renovation. With hindsight we would have chosen a room where we could sit in a comfy chair and enjoy the view, rather than sit on the bed to see out, but we booked at the last minute and took what was available.
The hotel staff were excellent. Reception were helpful and friendly. They kept us advised when the restaurant was going to be closed for evening meals during our stay. Alternative recommendations in the town were quickly provided.
Hearty breakfasts were served until late morning and service was friendly and quick, even when busy. The a la carte breakfast menu of about eight to ten items was always a good start to the day.
Local parking on meters was plentiful within a few yards from the hotel.

I had planned a holiday with friends by the sea and we were delighted to find the Albion House. The house is beautifully decorated and full of period features. The dining room was spacious and the high ceilings made it feel really airy and safe. We had lunch there when we arrived and were waiting for check-in and we all enjoyed the brunch menu. My bedroom was on the top floor and even though it wasn't advertised with a view of the beach, I could still see the beach and the sea. The room was really comfortable and clean and the only noise were the gulls outside. The staff were helpful and friendly and I could not recommend this place more highly.
