I appreciate the great nature, the nice people,on this campsite and the FRIENDLINESS. Everything is so nice and clean, friendly and silent. The owner and his staff is awesome!! I have gone there for more than 10 years and I LOVE IT. Ask for Stephen, he is selling "hand-made" plants in front of his house on the campsite. The lovely lady in the restaurant prepared the best sunny-site-up-eggs I ever had. It is worth to stay here more days and visit Deal, Deal beachsite, St. Margates, Dover, Canterbury. A lot to see there. I cannot wait to come back in some month!

This is the second time our rallying group have visited the site and it is every bit as good if not better than the last time we visited two years ago. 24 motorhomes attended this rally and we were all treated so well from the moment we checked in to the time of departure. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The facilities are clean and well cared for. The pitches are large and well maintained. Some do slope a little but this did not cause us any problems. There is a very good train service 10 minutes’ walk away from the site. There is also a cafe on site which I recommend you visit at least once during your stay. The food is all home cooked and is very tasty, especially the steak pie. There is an abundance of wild life and the bird song is wonderful to listen to. Considering the site is so close to Dover and the ferry terminals you still feel like you are in the heart of the Kentish country side. Highly recommended and we will be back.

We camped in the bottom field and had a lovely time. Although the toilets and showers were a little further to get to, our field was spacious and surrounded by huge trees to keep the wind off. The trains were no problem at all, the shower block was clean and modern, even had a free hairdryer. Having a shop was a plus, as we could send the kids to get things, didn’t use the cafe as the weather was lovely and we bbq’d. Staff friendly and helpful - it felt like a very well-run site - we loved how it was segregated into different areas by shrubs. We spent a day at Walker beach and walked to the local pub one afternoon - the kids went over to a nearby “really good” park which was off site, but okay as they were older. Definitely will return this year and will not be returning to ‘our usual’.

Our first trip to Hawthorn Farm and it certainly won’t be our last. We have been looking for a local ‘go-to’ site for a while and we have finally found it! The site is very accessible from a main road (essential when towing!), the showers are hot and very clean. Pitches are really big and you have a lot of space and privacy. A beautiful, natural site that has a lot of character and with very friendly staff.

We stayed here overnight. Camper had a flat battery. Staff went to extraordinary limits to help us. Been a fun experience that could've been very stressful. Highly recommend this campsite. Lots of clean amenities and grassy areas.
