Rooms were very small, I stayed in the twin room because it was all that was available, perhaps the double rooms are bigger. Check in is not until 4pm and you can’t even drop off your bags before that. Windows only open a crack so it’s hard to ventilate the room. It was 68 degrees when I stayed and the room was too hot to sleep, can’t imagine in the summer. I was given one small towel, no hand cloth or washcloth. The shower had very little water pressure and had to run a long time to get warm water. Had to jiggle the handle on the toilet to flush. Close to transportation, with a bus stop right in front and the train across the street. Close to the heart of the city. Very walkable. Unfortunately Dover city transportation is poorly coordinated, not the b&b’s fault, but there are no buses that drop off at the castle gates or the ferry, it’s a long walk to either from the bus stops. This hotel is located in a reasonable distance for an inexpensive cab ride to both.

There is no such place called "St. Albans non-smoking B&B, Dover" !!! There is on the other hand a "Guest House" called "St Albans Guest House, Dover" !!! The guest house offers a mid priced accommodation for the area, is located by the railway station and 150 metres of the shopping streets and 5 minutes from the Port. All bookings are non-refundable and payable at time of making. Breakfast is available of for £7 per person served 7 - 8am. Check-in starts 16:00 until 23:00 they do not allow check in after 23:00 so as not to disturb other guests staying there... Check-out is before 10:00. Be warned if you book expecting a 5 star hotel experience then you have made a mistake.

we booked the room on booking.com with quite some price. £98. The room was clean, the facilities tiny but you could use them. The staff was sort of friendly but had no clue. The couldn't answer the question where the bus drives to (bus station is in front of the house!), they didn't know how long it takes to the ferry, they could not answer any question, there was no breakfast, so please do not call it a B&B. It was over several weeks around 34 degrees hot but they still had the heating blanket on the mattress, which we realized only in the morning, so we were just sweating. a heating cover over the mattress ist probably in winter really nice but not with 34degrees outside. If you really just want to sleep in a clean room and need nothing more it might be good, but I would never go back there. Ever.

Very well placed opposite the train station with parking on the road that is free off peak times I think. Very quiet despite being on a main road. The room was small but more than adequate, clean and had shower gel and shampoo etc. Very smooth check in. Pleasant stay all round thankyou
