I have lived in a platoon house in the middle of Kandahar Afghanistan and I would have preferred to take my wife there instead of this place. The room was disgusting there was toe nail clippings on the floor, the washroom was so small on the third floor that I had to avoid hitting my head on the ceiling while...

We missed the ferry at night to France and whilst I went to sort out the new ferry booking the girl I was travelling with looked on the internet for a place to stay. Normally I'd have found the nearest YHA or used AirBNB but she found this Alma hostel and said it's the cheapest one available, it's only 2...

Booked as an overnight stop on the way to the ferry port, in case of bad traffic in the morning. Was a bit dubious at first. The external door opens straight onto a steep stairwell, with automatic lights that don't stay on for long. However, the rooms were very clean, the water was hot, shampoo and shower gel provided. Late...

This place is operated by people who have no service standards or a clue what hospitality industry is about. They take right to cancel your online booking without telling you about it to get more money from people who come in from the door and pay more than our online booking cost was, and they then try to do their...

Stayed here between trips to Europe, as I am a continental coach driver. Arrived here early evening on a Friday to find the place deserted. After much knocking a Latvian gentleman came down the very steep, narrow stairs and rudely asked what we wanted. Eventually through use of grunts, hand signals and several languages he issued us with a door...

This place is situated on one of Dover's main road which is very noisy. And with no air con, having to have the window open, its not a place to come if you need a good night's sleep. The keypad entry system is flawed and I found myself stood on the street for half an hour as the code given...

If your looking for a basic bed for the night with clean room and toilet this is a good budget option. The road noise can be loud especially at weekends. If arriving late there is no reception, everything is done by keypad but the system which works fine.

Terrible experience. Parking is in a public street. The area is not safe during the night: drunk people would break your car just as it happened to our car. The manager is not available for calls in the morning. Another annoying thing is that the code for the main door changes every morning at 10.00.

Very simple and small though adequate room. Clean and very reasonable beds, we had a good sleep. One of the cheapest accomodations in Dover even a small breakfast included in the price. So don't expect 5 star luxury , just good value for money.
