We are Americans now living in London and love exploring England. The Churchill Guest House was a perfect location to explore Dover Castle and the White Cliffs. Alex was super helpful in recommending restaurants. You can't beat the location to the castle. We especially enjoyed picking from a list of breakfast options and also choosing a time we wanted to...

The Churchill Guest House is a charming guest house and the perfect location for visiting the White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle. My 11-year-old daughter and I stayed in the Spencer Room which overlooks a small but lovely garden featuring a tree fern and a cluster of bamboo. The room was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was exceptionally...

We were in Dover for nearly 3 weeks this past summer awaiting the right conditions for a Channel swim. Alex, his Mom, and Dad could not have made our stay more pleasant. We took advantage of the kitchen and were able to make many of our meals. Churchill House is in close proximity (walking) to most shopping, and the kitchen...

Great clean hotel with great staff. Breakfast was wonderful. There are only a few rooms on the ground floor. Keep in mind, this was a home turned into a hotel. That means there are LOTS OF STAIRS. We had to move because of ?? which was ok and was moved to the "Eiger Sanction" room. (It's a movie..look it up..)...

We booked our stay based off of TripAdvisor reviews and we were not steered wrong! Alex, one of the owners was incredibly helpful and patient with all of my questions. We took my Mum for a few days and were really happy with the location and style of our rooms. Breakfast was great, my husband loved the breakfast pie so...

The Churchill House was the perfect place for us. I was in Dover to swim the Channel and had two friends with me. We stayed for six days, and took the Sarah Apartment which sleeps up to five, and it was just right for us. It's a basement apartment with one bedroom (double or queen? bed), then three single beds...

We have found the guest house after cruising around Dover in dark trying to find a place where to stay. I saw the sign "Churchill ..." and that was it- after visiting Churchill's house "Chartwell" a day ago it was clear, that we have to stay here. And we certainly did not regret it- Alex did everything to make us...

Dover was a stop before catching the ferry. The guest house is close to the port, if you have bags though a taxi is sensible. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, meeting us on arrival and having a chat, breakfast was the same, so you could ask for information about attractions, travel and restaurants. The room was so comfortable...

We stayed here on our outbound and inbound ferry journeys, so we had two different rooms - and what rooms they were! On our outbound journey we had the Victoria and on our return we stayed in Clementine. Both rooms were fabulous - the Victoria has a delightful mini-conservatory attached which is wonderful to sit and read or knit in....
