It would be hard to find a hotel in a better location than this. The hotel is actually right in the cathedral grounds, and you can lie in bed gazing at the cathedral itself. Wonderful! This made it my husband's favourite hotel on our UK trip. The rooms and facilities were perfectly adequate; bathrooms were clean enough, and the beds...

This is a very tricky review to write - there is after all a lot to like about Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. Not least its perfect location just feet from the Cathedral. However this ended up becoming something of a major drawback during our stay. Firstly though the accommodation - the building is modern, accessible and spotlessly clean. The rooms are...

For our wedding anniversary we chose at the Lodge for ease of access to the Cathedral and the Marlowe theatre. It's rare we get to feel like VIPs, but here we certainly did. Private parking just yards from the hotel started the experience, quickly followed by the best receptionist I've known: clear concise information delivered with a smile. Our room...

We stayed for one Sunday night and were really impressed with the location and overall stay. We had a room with a view overlooking the cathedral, which was lovely, albeit a little small, although it suited us perfectly. The check in was warm and helpful and the whole hotel was well looked after, extremely clean and well maintained. The Full...

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It's location is absolutely perfect- right in the centre of the city, in the grounds of the cathedral. We were in the Burgate building, which is an annexe to the main lodge. They seemed quite anxious to know that we knew there were a lot of stairs! There are 3 flights in the annexe...

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. All the staff we met were pleasant, efficient and friendly. The welcome is warm and you are given all the information you will need. There is free wifi and breakfast is included. We paid £5 for parking right outside. The room was spectacular, with a table and chairs looking out onto the Cathedral. Beautiful...

This was a fantastic location and great place to stay. Having come from a business meeting my husband and I found our stay so relaxed. The rooms are well equipped, not very big but quiet with magnificent views of the cathedral. The breakfast was fresh and the variety of choice excellent.

The standard of rooms, restaurant, reception and the grounds were outstanding. I cannot say enough about this place. The staff were super friendly, helpful and made you feel welcome the moment you walked through the doors. The breakfast service and menu is outstanding, and it being situated in the precinct of the Cathedral grounds was a plus. Amazing views from...

Visited cathedral lodge hotel or six of the most bleak cold days in February. Everything about our stay was a lovely experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was first class with most attentive staff. Just one point. The bed was incredibly hard (evidently extra hard according to reception!). Not the best sleeping experience.
