As someone who generally likes older, historic hotels, wasn't sure if this relatively new hotel would work for me but chose it because of the location - rooms look out onto the cathedral at close range. But it turns out to have been a great choice. It has a feel more of a conference center lodging than a regular hotel...

This is our second stay at the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge and certainly won't be our last. I always try to get a cathedral view as this is worth the tariff alone. Nice clean rooms although some updating may be required soon. Staff courteous and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. I am very impressed with the use of locally produced food -...

When I went to the cathedral lodge we were early, I asked prior as to if i could drop bags off and they were very accommodating. Check in was at 3pm but we dropped our bags off about 10am, Were given our tickets to get in and out of the cathedral grounds and we could then enjoy the rest of...

We stayed here for a night in early December & sadly I really wasn't impressed. Parking was the first mission, pulled into the car park & was told by 4 separate people we weren't allowed to park, just drop our bags and go. I wouldn't mind but we only needed to be told once! Reception staff weren't the friendliest, rushing...

This is very much a standard hotel so don't expect anything flash, but it's setting is simply unique and gives you free access to the Cathedral grounds throughout your stay with a view that you could never get bored of. The rooms are very clean, modern and well appointed with a great feature of self-service bottles of water/water fountain in...

Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Well equipped and clean room and shower room. Very comfortable bed and splendid views of the Cathedral. The breakfast was of a very high caliber offering a good range of choice. Vegetarian full English was very enjoyable. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning.

This is our second time at the lodge, this time my daughter's family stayed too. Both of our rooms looked out onto the Cathedral, and it looks better in the evening when it is lit up. As you are in the grounds of the Cathedral, you can wander around the grounds and have unlimited access to the Cathedral. The rooms...

A clean and pleasant lodge, fantastic breakfast, wonderful staff and comfortable beds. But all this is minor compared to view of the cathedral outside your window. The price is very reasonable when you consider the large breakfast included as well as free entrance to cathedral and parking onsite. It was so convenient to be located centrally and have easy walking...
