My husband and I were very much looking forward to a short break after Christmas and were terribly disappointed when we arrived in room 305! I honestly tried to find something positive because we had driven so far to end up in a room that wasn't even as nice as our home: very small and awkwardly shaped with student accommodation...

I stayed here on a business course. Small, quiet hotel with a great view of the cathedral. Cleanliness was superb everywhere. Breakfasts were amazing. The staff cannot do enough for you and are a credit to the hotel. I would definitely visit here again.

Had a brilliant stay here back in September while visiting Canterbury. You really couldn't be in a better location, everything is walking distance which is fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and stylish with the necessary amenities. The extra touches this hotel provides are what takes it above many others - the shortbread treats and hot chocolate that came with the...

We visited for my birthday which was over the Easter break (Good Friday-Easter Monday). Our stay in the hotel was a great one, we had amazing views, lovely breakfasts and although we are not religious, to have access to the cathedral for the Easter services was an added bonus and a beautiful experience. We could not fault the hotel in...

Cozy hotel which belongs to the Church of England as far as I understand. There is a portrait of the Archbishop of Canterbury on the wall at the reception. It is located on the grounds of the Cathedral. You can save 12 pounds per head if you stay there due to free access to the Cathedral. We had guests in...

Dear Reviewer Many thanks for taking the time to post a review. We are indeed owned by the Dean & Chapter of Canterbury Cathedral and are fortunate to be located within the Precincts itself. I am sorry that you were disturbed by noise, whilst staying in our adjacent Burgate annexe accommodation. This is the exception rather than the norm however...

We stayed at Canterbury Cathedral lodge for 2 nights in between Xmas and New years, the staff were great, and the breakfast had a great selection of foods. The room itself was a little small, the double bed that was booked was more like a semi-double, and the shower cubicle was quite small. The location of the hotel was great,...

We arrived quite in the night, never thought that it was inside the wall of the cathedral place! You have to ask to open the medieval gate, only for this reason they conquered us. Nice hotel, pretty modern, maybe not too in line with the context medieval but it doesn't leave the impression of to be in the wrong place....

Dear Reviewer We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us! We do appreciated that the one-way system of Canterbury can be a little challenging to navigate at first glance and are able to send full directions in advance. You are absolutely correct that after 6pm guests enter via the historic Christ Church gate and it’s wonderful to find...
