Stayed at the Pilgrims Hotel for one night. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Canterbury close to shops and restaurants, and a few minutes walk to the Cathedral. The girl on reception was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a top floor room in the new annexe next to the hotel, overlooking the street. The room was very nicely decorated, but has some incredible sloping floors... beware if you're tall, I'm 6'3 and banged my head on the bathroom door. Free WiFi is provided. Due to Covid 19, breakfast is ordered by completing a form and your selection is left outside your door after a knock at your requested time slot. Parking is available at nearby St Radigunds open air car park which is 5 min walk away, and the hotel provide reduced rates. We enjoyed our stay at the Pilgrims, and would stay here again if in the area.

The hotel is centrally located and ideal for your site seeing and the Marlowe Theatre (when it’s open). If you know Canterbury it’s an old city with buildings very close so it’s not a shock that there is no onsite parking. There’s reduced cost parking at a local car park 5 mins walk from hotel. The room was bright, spacious and clean and beds very comfortable. There’s coffee and tea making facilities in the room and a few toiletries and a hairdryer. We stayed in the main hotel and the stairs are steep ... but it’s very very old building and again not a shock but worth knowing if you have mobility difficulties. The only downside was the breakfast.. it’s included in the room rate but is only toast, pastries and yoghurt. To be honest, eating in the room is not ideal or hygienic ... you’re trying to balance things and standing up trying to eat not ideal! TIP: I would book a room only basis and go out for a nice breakfast at the many local places several a few minutes walks ... that’s of course if the COVID arrangements are still in place...

Was lead to believe in booking that there was on site parking, there is not you have to use the public car park which is quite a walk, the hotel does have a concession with the council for a reduced price, was also lead to believe there was a cooked breakfast included in the price also not true all that was on offer was toast or a coissant, this hotel is about 10 meters from the entrance to the Marlow theatre which was not open during our stay as I think it would have been extremely noisy. On the plus side room was clean and comfortable although very small with tiny bathroom. Very close to high street and visitor attractions. Not worth the £120 per night.

Structure very cute, in the center of the city where is easy to find museums and the cathedral. My room was small but very comfortable and clean, staff friendly and very attentive with the hygienic procedures due the covid's problem. good breakfast. Absolutely recommended!
