Well located in the centre of Canterbury, lovely old quirky building. Staff were very helpful and friendly. All covid safe as well. You could even have breakfast delivered to your room which was nice. Only possible problem is it could be noisy late at night but they supply earplugs if needed. So convenient and would recommend.

Just came back from a three night stay, the hotel is friendly, charming and cosy. Definitely very quirky with wonky floors and a little maze of corridors to get to the rooms, but this is all part of it's charm. The history of the hotel is astounding. The owners and all the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much for them, they really made our stay great. Great breakfast which is included in the very reasonable price, considering its bang next door to the cathedral. Definitely would go back again. Only downside but not a negative are the stairs as no lift so not so good if you have mobility problems, but this is on the website. Thank you all at the Cathedral gate.

I love this place, its not your usual premier inn type hotel, this hotel has character and a lot of history. Its very old and there is not a level floor in the entire hotel. I give it top marks for cleanliness and the staff & owners made us feel so welcome.

Everything was better than we expected, the staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing was over looked or too much trouble. From arranging our parking when we arrived to a wonderful breakfast and beautiful room. The location it fantastic, the hotel has a welcoming feel and the space has been beautifully utilised whilst maintaining the charm of the property. As always it it the little touches that count and I think the water refill station is just such a wonderful little detail. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Great experience and great value for money.
