My daughter and I stayed in the Paris Room that was lovingly decorated. My daughter declared the bed, the most comfortable bed she had ever slept in. The room was just large enough and the bathroom was extra large with a deep soaker tub and a separate shower. The room was quiet, we never heard our neighbours and weren't disturbed...

Was over here for the weekend with my father and mother. This place is full of charm and character (it's also approx 600 years old). I stayed at the Shanghai room and I loved it. The decoration was on point and the bed was delightfully comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small but didn't bother me at all. It also...

I found my quaint little B&B just outside the ancient city gates. The building is from the 15th century and my large room had exposed beams and was redolent of those old times whilst having all the modern amenities. It was right near the entrance to the old town and the River Stour. I can recommend a punt ride after...

We are local residents of Canterbury and simply love any excuse to stay here!. Just arrived home from a weekend stay at the House of Agnes. Stayed Friday night with friends visiting Canterbury and last night for our sons birthday 🎉. Absolutely fantastic, friendly and welcoming hotel. No where else in Canterbury has the same feel to it as the...

Having found House of Agnes through the good reviews, I booked two rooms for a weekend visit to Canterbury to celebrate our son's birthday. He stayed in the Tokyo room and we stayed in the Venice room. Both rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with great care and attention to detail. The different themes give them a unique appearance...

My wife and I stayed for two nights in the Canterbury room. It was just what we wanted - full of character and charm. The uneven floor and creaky boards add to the charm . The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Anna and another young lady served us breakfast happily and efficiently. The owner Sandie, is very helpful and...

Attending a wedding in Canterbury, we stayed here as a large group. We were in the Canterbury Room; fabulous decor, including period four-poster bed, yet with enough mod cons to make it a really pleasant stay. The next morning we all had breakfast, and both the food and service were excellent. If you ever need to stop in Canterbury then...

As visitors to Canterbury for one night we wanted somewhere comfortable, well-managed, attractively presented, with wifi, parking and breakfast; great value for money, conveniently central and reflective of the history of one of England's most interesting and ancient cities. Yup, we totally nailed it choosing House of Agnes. For just over £100 we really enjoyed our stay in one of...

Thank you for your kind words and comprehensive review of this lovely house. Indeed the Canterbury Room is a fabulous room and it even has a view of the Westgate Towers and the Cathedral Spires. Each of our gorgeous rooms is very different, so hopefully you will return and try another in the future! A little tip for anyone wishing...

We stayed here for a weekend break whilst returning our son to Kent Uni. Perfectly placed, just a stroll from the main city area but on the right side to access the Uni. Everything was faultless from the comfortable, cosy stable room to the plentiful, fresh breakfast. We loved the little library and games area and although we didn't have...
