On arriving at the House of Agnes, we were properly greeted by a friendly (young gentleman) member of staff with a smile on his face that said he was pleased to see us. He then shown us too our accommodation ,which was two of the outside rooms, 5 and 6 (these buildings previously were stables), were we where pleased to... More

From arrival to departure the staff made you really welcome. Our room and bathroom in the stables was modern and fresh. The sunken garden was a bonus on a warm sunny evening for an aperitif before seeking dinner in the town a few minutes walk away. Small aperture to squeeze the car thru from the street but we were warned.... More

We recently stayed 3 nights here after getting married in July 2016. The booking went very smooth. I changed my mind after booking and wanted to change my booking to The Venice room. This all went without a hassle. Communication was very clear. Before we arrived, the owner sent us an e-mail noticing that there were restoration works, right next... More

Positioned a stone's throw from the city walls with car good parking and a lovely walled garden for use by guests we found our room in the 'stables' to be very comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom and a great shower. Staff were welcoming and friendly and there was a good choice for breakfast. The only slight negative, if... More

Stayed for two nights in one of the stable block rooms. The room was more than adequate for my wife and I, with a well equipped en-suite bathroom and shower. The room in general was nicely furnished and very clean. An umbrella was provided in our room for times when we might need it to walk to reception or breakfast.... More

Having always wanted to visit Canterbury but never getting round to it, my girlfriend treated us to a weekend staying here for my birthday. Instantly impressed by the frontage on arrival, the rear gardens were just as appealing. Very pleasant staff who gave us a tour and showed us to our room, The Marrakech. Very clean with interesting decor, we... More

What a lovely surprise. We weren't expecting anything special but turned out delightful. Plenty of free parking at the rear. Old building with character! Just outside the wall to the City. Lovely garden and a loyalty bar with decent prices. Excellent range of tea and coffee in the room. Informative staff. 5 minute walk to the City and its great... More

Booking a bit late for a surprise 1st wedding anniversary trip for my wife I found House of Agnes and managed to book the last room they had in the stables. Having made the booking online I was intrigued to watch the four in a bed episode for the place and having stayed there knowing the the owner is an... More

Two nights at the House of Agnes in Canterbury was bliss. Stayed in the Venice room in a 600 year old home with the owner, Sandie. This historical B and B has off street parking (if your car is small enough to fit through the opening), Wi-Fi, ambience, and a first class breakfast in a building that is perfectly located... More
