We just had a wonderful three night stay at House of Agnes. Our room, The Marakesh, was perfect, with a separate sitting room and two bath rooms as well as a good size bedroom and private roof terrace that looked out into a very large and pretty garden. The honor bar (where we could get beer, wine and snacks) was... More

Really lovely hotel. We stayed recently with our son who was visiting the Uni so we needed a double room plus a single bed. The suite we were given was perfect and very reasonably priced. Separate are for the single bed with its own en-suite. Rooms very comfortable; Breakfast was amazing; honesty bar was perfectly stocked - an all round... More

Outstanding place to stay. The main building is genuinely old and atmospheric. We had a newly renovated room that opened off a very peaceful courtyard garden in the former stables. The bed was extremely comfortable and the new bathroom was luxurious, with a very powerful shower, underfloor heating, and thick and fluffy towels. The breakfast was excellent. The drive under... While our room in this hotel/B&B was historic (the Canterbury room) it did not lack in modern comfort. The bed was very comfortable and while we were at the side of the road we had a very peaceful and quiet night. The bathroom was small but the shower was sublime, one of the best I've had with a good strong... More

We stayed to attend a family wedding in Canterbury. The building is quirky, staff friendly and very helpful and an excellent breakfast. This may not be cheap, but well worth it - one of the few with on site parking and a pleasant garden. Our VW Tiguan was a tight fit through the entrance gate.

I stayed here with my daughter and granddaughter for a birthday treat. The building is charming and so is the garden. The staff made us feel very welcome and all in all we had a lovely stay and will be going back.

Nice rooms but noisy. Old place in town, couldn't really sleep peacefully. Breakfast is so so, could have more variation and manager could smile more? Didn't get much help when asked about places to eat but was shown a local guide - not much personal touch.

We stayed here June 6-8 in the Canterbury room and absolutely loved it. The location is great, you are so close to the park, river and the main street of Canterbury. It's also super convenient to the train station. Our room had lots of character which is why I opted for that particular room. Yes the floors slope but the... More
