We visited the south of England within two weeks with a family of four and stayed mainly in hostels by the YHA. This hostel was the hostel we came first and it was great: situated in a Villa in walking distance from town, it had all needed equipment, like Wi-Fi, TV, Bar, washing machine etc. Recently refurbished, (we had private... Lovely hostel and very welcoming staff. Spent one night here to explore the sights of Canterbury before heading to Dover. Nice big spacious rooms and comfy beds glad I took my ear plugs so I couldn't hear the snorers in the room. Lovely communal area with WIFI so could watch a film on my iPad with my headphones in, Shame... More

This hostel has recently had a complete refit and looks amazing! I loved sitting in the lounge in the early morning with my book and a cup of tea (made in the 'state of the art kitchen' downstairs)! The general manager and staff are very friendly and helpful and make it feel like a home-from-home. There are some parking spaces... More

General manager (not sure of his name) really nice, friendly, helpful and chatty. Second time here and we had a 3.5year old too – stayed in Pippin Lodge and loved it just as much as the first, everything is really nice and clean and a great vibe and close to the city centre. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We have just come back from a few wonderful days in Canterbury. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very comfortable. Loos and showers were immaculate. The hostel is in walking distance of everything. Oh and free WiFi. Thank you YHA.

Have stayed at this hostel on numerous occasions, not only out of continence but also in the summer period where I was first really exploring Canterbury. The staff there are always helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure you're helped with anything. The entire place has a nice feel of home comfort about it and it's got... More

A very welcoming stop over for a weekend and well located only 10 minutes walk from town. Thanks for all your help booking us a table in the oldest pub in Canterbury - it was a great recommendation and we had a lovely evening. It's so nice to have a gluten free toast at breakfast too, rather than bringing our... More

Great entrance n staircase. Superb accommodation 😴 Very clean & tidy with modern facilities mixed with the traditional architecture. Homey & comfortable lounge room. Fantastic kitchen, ablutions etc. Everything in fact was great. The time I stayed at the YHA Hostel, I found the staff to be very nice, pleasant and always to be helpful with anything. The hostel is based in a quiet area of Canterbury and easy to relax. They have a garden at the back and it is big and spacious. Kitchen and lounge accessible 24 hours and 7 days... More

Had a lovely stay here in a Tolkien themed lodge called Orlando. Brilliant accommodation all to ourselves. Very cosy, en suite and truly different from anything I've stayed in before. Lovely friendly staff and good hostel facilities. Fine comfy lounge and close to city (15 mins walk for us). Loved it here. Thank you!
