Great historical hotel in the heart of Ledbury. Absolutely great rooms considering the age of the place (1500's) Staff friendly. Larger than life Landlord. Food fairly basic but well cooked. Good choice of wine and beers. Well done.

Stayed at this delightful hotel in July. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was perfect with lots of space, tea/coffee making facility that worked. A wonderful, spacious wet room with a brilliant shower. Breakfast was served in a relaxed, easy atmosphere in the oak-panelled dining room. I couldn't fault the Talbot, and it was refreshing to find staff... More

Decided to eat here this evening and what a lovely pub it turned out to be. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Fantastic food served very quickly. I had the roast beef which was delicious. Good price too.

The Talbot is a great old building, with lots of history ,wonky walls and low beams. The staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly. Clean spacious room with en suite. Hairdryer provided and tea/coffee and bottled water in the room. Would stay there again!

The fish board was delicious, prawn twists, trout, salmon, delicious warm pretzel bread and plenty of sweet chilli sauce and horseradish creme fraiche. My husband had the ploughmans board which came with ham, cheese (Brie or cheddar), a thick wedge of whole meal bread, pickled vegetables, sliced tomatoes, apple and a delicious chutney. The lady serving was helpful and polite... More

Stayed one night in the Talbot earlier this week. Our room (no.4) was fairly small, but nicely furnished with a decent-sized bed and other nice touches. Not the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in - felt as though it could do with a new mattress, it was starting to get a bit lumpy. The view from the window... More

Excellent stay. Room 8 which is part of the rear new annexe, very good. Quiet, no disturbance. Fitted out with a superb wet room whci makes for a really comfortable shower. Close to the town centre and within an easy walk. Nice olde worlde bars and dining room.

I stayed for three nights in June in the annexe which is around the back of the hotel and is a new build addition. My room was spacious with a huge bed. The staff were absolutely wonderful- really positive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great - really good selection and was cooked quickly. I didn't eat in... More

This pub is very welcoming and atmospheric and the staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs. The rooms are respectable, clean and have a good supply of toiletries, towels, tea & coffee and water in the rooms. No telephone though which I thought was rather odd. Decorated to a nice standard. we were in the annex which was... More
