We were looking for somewhere to have an early morning coffee and the only place open at 8.15am was The Feathers Hotel. A large pot of coffee was very quickly provided which turned into 6 cups of delicious coffee and all for £5, Excellent, friendly service with a smile and very comfortable chairs in a beautiful old building.

We had a very special evening at the Feathers, it's an black and white building full of charm and character. We booked a table for close family who hadn't see each other in about 6 months, some of whom like to eatVegan meals. The Hotel assured me that this was not a problem. On arrival the vegans were presented with...

Stayed two nights, nice room, a little warm and not able to turn the heating down. Food was very good and well served, wine was a little pricey but tasty all the same. Rooms were comfortable, but again a little pricey for the time of year. Very good staff at all times and overall an enjoyable stay.

Went to The Feathers for the post funeral bun fight for a near and dear friend recently. It's my age I guess but I've been to a few of these recently and this was undoubtedly the best. Lovely sandwiches and smashing scones in particular

The hotel has a cosy old world charm with roaring log fires, excellent food and very comfortable accommodation. We invited four friends to have dinner with us one evening and they were...

On arrival, the hotel was very busy in the lobby and bar area, but seemed to be a large group of people waiting to check-in. We saw a member of bar staff, who explained as it was mid-afternoon there was no hot food available; which as fine as we just wanted a light lunch. We were referred to what seemed...

When we lived nearby we often used to call in to the Feathers for drinks or for a morning coffee in the Lounge overlooking the High Street. When we left for foreign parts we would, on our regular rteturn visits stay in one of The Feathers' individualistic rooms looking out over this charming little town. However over the years the...
