As a county I find Hereford a very foody place, and very dog friendly. Though we didn't have a dog ourselves I loved that people were eating and relaxing on the chairs and squidgy sofas around the fire with their very well behaved dogs at their feet. Such a lovely feel to the place. We had wine, sandwiches and Irish... More

We booked into a four-poster room at the Feathers as a last minute treat and we were not disappointed. We arrived early with our 18-month old and we were greeted very warmly, with lots of help offered. We were able to make use of the pool and we all felt very relaxed by the time dinner rolled around. We were... More

Super very tastefully decorated rooms with everything and more that you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the quirkiness of the attractive building. The staff were both professional and friendly and strike exactly the right pitch with their guests. We enjoyed the Fuggles restaurant ambiance although menu-wise we felt that the puddings were somewhat over complicated and combining perhaps... More

We ate here for lunch. I tried the chicken livers and was completely mesmorised. They were absolutely divine, rich, tasty, juicy - meaty... just a joy! Not sure what else I had after that... but in our family we have those that are not so keen on meat and those that not so keen on seafood but we all came... More

Too late for dinner and very kindly arrange supper after having a long overdue 'real ale'. at the very comfortable bar Given a pleasant room over looking the High Street which was a little noisy until the early hours of the morning, which is expected but very pleased to... Difficult to find the car park with a very narrow alley entrance. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very old and full of character. There is a lively bar and brasserie both well stocked and served by great staff. our meal was OK, the "rack of lamb" could have perhaps been questioned under the trade description... More

It’s good to know our professional team were warm, welcoming and friendly and that you appreciated the character of our beautiful Tudor era hotel & coaching inn. Our brasserie and public bar areas are popular and lively with hotel guests and our discerning locals, so it is reassuring that you also enjoyed this aspect. To clarify a couple of points,... More

Had a light bar snack for lunch last Wednesday in very comfortable surroundings. The lounge has very comfortable chairs etc and a lovely atmosphere. The snacks were just right, not too much, not too little, presentation good along with the service. Well worth a visit.

Booked table, arrived on time and it wasn't ready. Came over to take our order and asked if we wanted water. We said yes but the water never arrived. 25 minutes later when finally serving staff walked past we asked to have it again. Received the water with our main meals. Food was fantastic. Both had fillet steak, cooked perfectly!... More
