IuLovely central b & b about 7 minutes walk from the station and about 15 to cathedral/town centre. Very friendly owner, accommodating with luggage storage before and after stay. Room imaculately clean and furnishings well maintained, hospitality tray well stocked. Nice freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice and fresh percolated coffee. The b& b is set back from the road, with lots of car parking spaces. In the breakfast room is a fridge and microwave for guests use, along with plates, cutlery etc - a good idea for those wanting to bring in a snack or keep a picnic cool for the next day etc. In total a very pleasant place to stay, quiet and my room was very peaceful from any noise - overlooking the garden at the rear of the building.

Just returned from a lovely two night stay at no.21. I was greeted on arrival by the owner and shown to my room and what a beautiful room it was too! The bedroom and the bathroom were immaculately clean, the room was beautiful decorated and was bright and airy and the bed was so comfy I havent slept so well in ages. The room had lots of little extras which was fantastic, lots of drink options, tea, coffee, cappuccino, latte and hot chocolate sachets and some lovely biscuits and in the corridor a mini fridge containing milk, juice cartons and water I could help myself to whenever I wanted. In the bathrooms there were all the usual toiletries too, everything had been thought of. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, toast and a full English breakfast which contained items sourced locally. The highlight though was the owner and staff such lovely ladies and made me feel very much at home. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

The house was apparently built 1912 and the present owners have furnished it in keeping with it's age. Have to say that is not to everyone's taste - but we liked it!! We had a steaming hot delicious breakfast every morning (we were there 4 nights). The beds were very comfortable, the bedroom surprisingly quiet being close to a main road. A terrific shower kept us fresh. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
