Me and a friend stayed in the twin room at the front of the property, it is a little snug but we had alot of kit, but has everything you needed including TV , cupboard space, tea coffee facilities and a sink. We were running a ultra marathon on South Downs so had to be away at 5.30am which the... More

We enjoyed a one-night stay at 31 Queen's Road in a cozy, comfortable double room with views of the garden. Nice breakfast options were available in the well-appointed dining room. The location is convenient to the University and the hospital, both within walking distance. A clean pub is also within walking distance, where we had a nice supper with friendly... More

Thank you so much for the stay, such a homely feeling. Rooms are modern and spacious excellent for what I needed. Within a 10 minute walk from the city centre this B&B is really well situated. Many bars and restaurants near by, looking forward to a return visit. Thanks again, Des.

I really enjoyed staying at this B&B. We received a warm welcome from the owner. Our room was clean, there was a place to park and the breakfast was very good. The walk to town was easy and direct and goes right past the Great Hall. Would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend stay at 31 Queens Road. Quite basic, but homely, very comfortable bed, we stayed in double with en suite which was all clean. We stayed for 2 nights, and the facilities were ample, plenty of towels, chocolates, biscuits, tea coffee, all the toiletries etc. Breakfast was a lovely continental selection with fresh... More

When we arrived at 31 Queens Road there was no one there to greet us, but since we had been given the passcode for a key safe by the front door we were soon able to let ourselves in. Our room key and a welcome note were waiting on a side table in the hall, along with a note of... More

Stayed over last night for the winchester uni summer ball, it's a stones throw from the uni but far enough away to be quiet, the welcome from Richard the owner was warm and there were some really nice touches like personalised room tags with my name on as well as lots of freshly pressed towels with mints on top !... I've been there for just one night with my brother. We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the house. The room was cosy and warm. Fresh linen and towels were nicely wrapped up on our beds. The room was clean and nicely adorned for us. Shampoo, conditioner and soap were available in the small bathroom at the end of... More

I was staying in Winchester overnight for work. It was quite last minute and all the usual places had been booked. I went for this B&B because of the great reviews. I went for the front double room with en suite for two at £85. It was clean and not a bad size. I'd been sent an email from Richard... More

It is suitable for business trips or for the a solo traveller visiting family. I found it safe comfortable and there was parking available for the car. It is also close to Winchester so walking into the town was easy.
