We stayed in the small room, though small it had everything we needed. Very clean and Covid rules being rigorously applied. Good selection of different things for breakfast. Owner is well organised and some nice touches during our stay (like fresh milk delivered for the evening).
Stayed at this B&B in a double room for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. Richard was an excellent host, friendly and helpful. The room is with modern design and looks newly refurbished. Clean, comfy and well maintained. It is also very conveniently located just 2 stops outside the town and the bus stop is just around the corner. Breakfast was basic with the usual toast, croisant, coffee/tea, juice, cereal, yogurt and preserves fruit. It’s enough keep me going for a good half day. Enjoyed my stay and will definitely recommend.
This bed & breakfast truly was a home from home I booked double room for 1 night. It is a matter of 100yards to my granddaughter’s student village I was taking her & her “stuff” back after Christmas break So easy to leave her at Uni drop off point , park at bed & breakfast & get her settled. We then spent afternoon in Winchester Owners gave me parking permit for my car Room was nice with en-suite. TV , & WiFi available This is not only convenient for families with students, there are bus stops 50 yards away to take you to town It is also next to Winchester hospital , so perfect if you need overnight stay to visit Wonderful
Had two lovely nights here,Richard the owner, was very helpful, and a very good host, the room was very clean, with tea and coffee, had clean towels both days, with a chocolate mint left on top, bathroom on small side but ok,no cooked breakfast, but what was offered was very nice. Walk into town was about 20/25 minutes, overall a lovely b+ b, and will definitely stay again
I stayed here last Saturday and could not fault the place. I received a lovely e-card welcoming me prior to my stay and Richard and Gill kindly bought dairy-free spread, yogurt and milk for me (I'm a vegan). The accommodation is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. My bed was comfortable and the room looked out onto a pretty garden. The breakfast was delicious and with a good variety of options. The location is great too, as it's only a short walk into town (about 12 minutes) and is well-served by local buses if you have a lot of luggage. I would not hesitate to return.
Perfect for my needs. A place to lay my head with breakfast in the morning at a reasonable price.. A very clean and homely place with a very friendly proprietor. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a short stay.
31 Queens Road - Winchester is around a 15 min walk into Winchester centre. A pleasant walk downhill via Hospital and cemetery . Harder walk on return. Parking outside is with a permit supplied by owner. Room very compact but very clean and plenty of drink extras with bics. Comfy bed , shower and toilet very compact. room did get cold ( heating off at times) Nice touch with xmas dec throughout. Bid minus was not having a cooked breakfast choice. hence a lower rating.
Me and a friend stayed in the twin room at the front of the property, it is a little snug but we had alot of kit, but has everything you needed including TV , cupboard space, tea coffee facilities and a sink. We were running a ultra marathon on South Downs so had to be away at 5.30am which the owner said wasn't a problem and left the breakfast room open for us which was very kind.He also arranged taxis and recommended a evening meal place for us, we also had a parking space, the road outside at night is quiet, as it only goes mainly to the hospital.Everything was very clean including white towels and quilts and very comfortable bed, i would defiantly stay here again.
We enjoyed a one-night stay at 31 Queen's Road in a cozy, comfortable double room with views of the garden. Nice breakfast options were available in the well-appointed dining room. The location is convenient to the University and the hospital, both within walking distance. A clean pub is also within walking distance, where we had a nice supper with friendly service. A longer walk was enjoyed, downhill, to the Cathedral. We wanted to catch a taxi back to the lodging for the night, but could not locate one near High Street (apparently they all hang near the rail station).
Thank you so much for the stay, such a homely feeling. Rooms are modern and spacious excellent for what I needed. Within a 10 minute walk from the city centre this B&B is really well situated. Many bars and restaurants near by, looking forward to a return visit. Thanks again, Des.
