Dear Sarah, I haven't responded up until now as I couldn't resolve the shower issue until after Christmas. I preferred to refer to the performance as 'gentle', but do appreciate that it could be disappointing. So I have fitted a shower pump and now the performance is much improved.

Stayed here with a couple of friends for two nights. It was an ideal place for ust to chat and catch up in the comfortable Garden Room. All the rooms were excellent and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was on the upper floor and gave wonderful views over Winchester. Liz, the owner, was a considerate and welcoming host. Magdalen...

We spent 2 nights with Liz at Magdalen House, staying in the garden room. This is like your own little apartment and certainly gives you room to spread out. It is very close to the centre of Winchester and we walked everywhere. It was great to come home each afternoon, make a cup of tea and sit outside in the...

Our family of 4 spent four days with Liz toward the end of June, and our stay was one of the highlights of our trip. The 2-bedroom family suite worked great for us, and the the location was close to downtown, but far enough away to be out of the bustle. Also helped that the rooms were on the back...

Thanks for you kind words Fred, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here. I liked your description as a 2 bed family suite, I've been trying to think of a description for that set of rooms now that there is a little sitting room as well (I can't remember if that was usable when you were here and it still...

I spent a few nights in this B&B owned by Liz and I can hardly thing of anything that could have went better. The initial email exchange for information and booking was smooth. Liz was very flexible for the check-in. The location of the house is great, a 5 mins walk from downtown. The B&B itself is in a great...

Looking for a 3 night stay in Winchester, found Magdalen house online. Location near city centre was ideal, no need to drive, just a walk away. One of the best B & B we have stayed in. Lovely house, home from home, clean, comfortable and lovely breakfast options. Lots of advice on where to visit and eat locally. Excellent.

From the moment we arrived Liz made us feel at home. We had a double room and our own bathroom. Next door was another room which was only let as part of the same package e.g. friends or family sharing. Both rooms were in a self contained part of the house. Liz had thought of everything from dressing gowns to...
