We have met at The Cricketers Inn a couple of times, it's a central point for our family to meet. Always a warm welcome, it's a great pub, lovely cosy interior and a great fire. It looks especially attractive at Christmas. There's a telly, which we requested to sit near as The Birthday Boy wanted to watch the Bournemouth match,...

Stopped off on our way back from a weekend away with friends. The Sunday roast is by far the best we have all had in very long time. Good portion size with lots of fresh veg. Think it was landlord and landlady which were both very welcoming and friendly. We will be returning soon. Thank you

This is your typical country pub...cosy during the colder months, nice patio during the warmer months...menu is typical and food average. Reasonably priced. Always very busy and always have sports showing on the tv!

We booked a specific table at the Cricketers as we had an elderly lady who is very very hard of hearing. The table we booked was in a quiet part of the dining room and when we arrived at the Cricketers the landlord said it had been cancelled and someone else was dining at the table. I most certainly did...

Yes we made a mistake with your booking and for that we apologise. You were given a very nice table and the pub was not noisy. You said you enjoyed your food and everything was fine when asked. I feel to give such a negative review is a little harsh. Surly we were worth more than a 1

I have been to this pub on many occasions to eat and drink and the food and service has been good except if you are served by who I assume is the landlord. On the last 3 occasions I have seen him rather rude to customers and this time it was the turn of my son. What a shame it...

I am surprised to read your comments I is totally out of context with the other reviews. I can not remember any situation where I have been rude to anyone put you obviously seem to think otherwise. If I was rude I apologise and if you could be clearer about any situation I may be able to comment better.

I thoroughly enjoyed the night I had here in a very comfortable room with extremely helpful staff. The cooked breakfast is excellent. I loved walking around the village and surrounding area. I hope I can stay longer on my next visit.
