My wife and I always stay here when in the area because it has so many happy memories for us. It is a lovely home and the family- especially Liz- are very welcoming. I recommend the lovely quirky room above the dining area. The dell itself, a nice garden feature, provides a lovely place to sit and chill in the...

Just home from a long trip overseas during which time we stayed at "The Dell" - warm welcome from Liz who was just lovely - very helpful and kind. Our room was perfect - everything we needed and very comfortable bed...surrounding gardens are lovely and the pub down the road a good spot to eat.....highly recommend.

Beautiful home, with warm, inviting room & host. Liz greeted us at door and we were shown to our lovely spacious room with separate, private entrance. Could not have asked for anything more. Just the right amount of help and care from host. As travelling Aussies we recommend The Dell to everyone.

Arrived Sunday afternoon.Owners were having BBQ in garden with friends. We weren't, sure if we were in the right drive. He came over and stared at us and when we asked if this was the right place he shrugged and didn't,t acknowledge that we had a booking! This experience was obviously a negative one for both parties and one I hope neither party has to repeat. Would definitely not welcome these particular guests again. Cold, aloof and incredibly rude would be my view of them and as a result their visit did not go well.

Based on other reviews we decided to book a one night stay at the Dell. It is located in a quiet area but with easy access to the M3/A34 and local attractions.Liz came to greet us when we arrived. We stayed in the ground floor room and the only criticism was that it was quite cold on arrival on what...

I have just returned from a short break in Winchester which included a night at The Dell. It is extremely handy for Winchester and very easy to find. We had a warm welcome, and were very impressed by both rooms. There is separate access for guests, with the rooms and dining room separate from the rest of the house. The...

Wonderful B&B handily situated just outside Winchester. Warm welcome and top rate accommodation. The biggest shower I've ever been in - powerful and hot!! The log burner and Liz's (the landlady) thought and attention made for a brilliant stay - thank you. Thoroughly recommend.

Stayed at the dell twice now and both times have been warm and relaxing. Cosy room but spacious. The landlady pf the dell is always happy to help, and cooks fantastic breakfasts that fill you up for the rest of day. Look forward to staying with them again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and the room was amazing, we stayed in the Garden room which was really spacious and done up to a high standard. Also the dining area was really cosy with a fire place. Definitely worth a visit. Higher recommended
