Visited this pub many times. Every time the food was great, amazing value for top quality pub grub and great hosting. It's a little gem in a chocolate box village. Sally and Alex were great hosts and made us feel welcome. I think this place is now shut down.

Staying in nearby Sutton Scotney, but not fancying the local there, we stumbled upon this place. Very quiet as it was a Monday, we got a warm greeting from the young staff running the bar who took our drink and food orders for the evening. Menu has plenty of choice for all, including a dedicated "Fries" menu with a variety...

We have been living in Winchester for almost three months now and have dined at an endless amount of pubs. This is by far one of my favorites mainly for the friendly staff and extensive menu. Easy to find something for everyone. Just about any kind of burger you want...vegetarian, beef, pork, venison, chicken and more! All sorts of choices....

We found this place totally by accident whilst looking for somewhere to eat on our way home from the south coast. I could not understand why the place was so quiet, the food was top notch , we had a Sunday roast each, and there was plenty of it , my wife had five slices of pork on her plate...

My husband and I were in the UK for 10 days recently – the main reason was to attend my husband’s son’s wedding celebration. This was held at The Fox and Hounds pub. We called into the pub one morning, a few days before the special event, to see where the wedding would be held. We had such a warm...

Stopped by mid week for lunch. Very good range of burgers made on site as well as a good selection of real ales on tap. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub is situated in a very picturesque but quiet village that feels somewhat caught in a time trap, persevered in its situ it seems by the large...

Went to the Fox and Hounds with a large group (20) of friends. We had all pre-ordered our meals. My wife and I had ordered Lasagne (with garlic bread and salad), Ham Egg and chips (with "triple cooked chips"). Both GBP 9.95. No starters.. We waited a long time for the food to arrive and when it did we were...

We paid £95 to stay in what was little more than a youth hostel back room with stains splashed up the bathroom door, fixtures and fittings broken, no working TV, damp sheets and breakfast as a cling-filmed croissant shoved on the table the night before. For a budget stop over, fine. But for what was advertised as being quaint and...

We have just met up with some friends and their children. Has a little play area at the back and when it came time to eat we moved inside and they allowed us to bring in the dog. Food was very nice and they were very eager to cater for one of our children as he requires gluten free. The...
